Sinopse
***SPOILERS for Mushoku Tensei anime watchers***
This fan-fic will contain heavy spoilers for any anime-only fan of Mushoku Tensei. You have been warned.
This story considers what may have happened if the Rudeus from the future had been successful in his attempt at time travel. What if Rudeus' attempt at time travel had resulted in him traveling back into the body of his younger self?
After researching time travel with the help of Perugius and Nanahoshi, Rudeus makes his attempt only to find himself opening his eyes to see Paul and Zenith doting over their newborn son. Rudeus is essentially given a second chance at life in this world starting with all the knowledge he had accrued. Will he be able to protect his family this time around?
Please note this is my first attempt at writing of any sort. I would honestly appreciate any critiques and advice. I don't mind criticism, but please be kind about it.

It's a rare Mushoku Tensei fanfiction, with an even rarer setting of featuring Future Rudues, and of course the quality of writing is good. It's worth a read!
Seeing how I have fully read the web novel it is actually pretty relevant to what I think Rudeus would've done! Amazing work on this! I can't wait for the future arcs to be redone as well.
Although it’s nothing particularly groundbreaking, this is a pretty solid read that I would recommend to any fans of Mushoku Tensei (especially LN readers)

It's a good story and I was curious what would have happened if Rudius had correctly traveled back in time and corrected his mistakes that led to his tragic future.
The story is very interesting and very well written, I didn't notice any writing errors or anything like that. My only problem with it is that Rudeus is very cautious about showing his powers, he is already one of the 7 strongest in the world but he is entering the academy as a normal student, and in addition doing everything in the most discreet way possible. For me, Mc being so discreet made me drop the story
this book is the "goat" Hope it continues for thousands of chapters 👍 if possible
I just wanted to say that I love the new book cover for Mushoku Tensei: A Second Chance.
When i read mt i thought what if rudeus went back to past and survived . it took that idea and turned it into an quite a fascinating fic. although it lacks in emotions and suspense it is really enjoyable. you would always wait for next chapters once read. it also disappoints in updating stability but we need to understand that this writers are not paid for this work so the delay is acceptable.Hope it continues and fans keep supporting it. Since its OldRudeus i will asume that its still a hârêm... As no sane man would not marry his future wife again and let them be alone or with someone else... So the hârêm is AT LEAST Roxy, Sylphy and Eris... But I would like spoilers... Does he includes anyone else?
This is one of the better Mushoku Tensei Fanfictions. I definitely recommend reading it.
I enjoyed the writers take on this "what-if" within the Mushoku Tensei universe. Each decision the protagonist will have a cascading effect on how the story deviates from the original timeline. Despite a few questions on how certain things should have come to pass, such as why is Arial and her mage are still alive without "silent-fitz", and how will/or will Norn end up with Ruijerd if they never meet in her childhood. I think this Fan-Fiction is so far a wonderful addition to the Mushoku Tensei collection of stories. I look forward to reading further chapters.

I like it, it's on the right track so far. Hopefully find a way to prolong your Rudius life. It is possible. I suppose. Well keep this good story. I love this quite powerful rudius. Known as world power: the magical god.
It's pretty rare to see a fanfic centered around Oldeus, but it's always nice to see. The story is pretty good; the only major issue with the story, in my opinion, is Rudy's character. In the Oldeus timeline, Rudeus suffers horrific trauma after horrific trauma and becomes a depressed, homicidal, womanizing alcoholic (albeit a very powerful alcoholic) that's hellbent on revenge and becoming stronger. So, you'd expect after he time travels these things would deeply affect him, but said events feel to have little impact on his character. That being said, the story isn't finished, and the author may very well be planning to address this concern. On a more positive note, in almost everything else I can think of, the author does very well, especially in his writing of Paul and Rudy's interactions. Sometimes it honestly feels like how Rifujin would write the two.

Agora review em portugues, a historia realmente é muito boa se voce leu até o volume 15 da novel original não vai ter nenhum problema em seguir a historia, ela amarra pontas soltas que até mesmo o autor deixou passar e se mantem solida 'pelo menos até onde eu estou'. Em especial o evento da hidra e a forma como o autor trabalhou foi algo que eu sempre esperei ver acontecendo, ele realmente faz um trabalho digno do titulo MELHOR QUE O ORIGINAL
W. Literally what I had in mind for my novel. Wanted to write a a story where future rudues was transmigrated to the past upon his death. Read a couple chapters, Very well detailed, superb writing style, amaxing plot progression overall. I look forward to what you do in the future!
