Sheila shook her head; she had placed her phone in airplane mode and had slept in all day. She hadn't been in the mood to party or see anyone from the outside world. She moved to a seat and sat down, focusing her gaze on Declan. "What happened?"

He looked confused, "No idea, Sheila. She was okay at the party until Jack came to see her."

Sheila's hand clutched at the side, "Jack was at the party?" It must have been hard for Mia, and she wished she hadn't placed her feelings over her friends. Mia had invited her to the party, but she had refused, claiming she wanted to be home alone. Mia had wanted to come to stay with her, but she was the main star at the party, and Sheila refused. "Was he alone?"

Declan finally sat down opposite her, "He was with Beth. Mia had seen them together, but she hadn't reacted in any way until she danced with Jack."

Sheila frowned, "You allowed her to dance with Jack?"

He nodded, "She said it was nothing."
