"But nothing, Sheila. I don't invest in what is not worth it. I'm a businessman first, and I don't invest in things I see no value in. You should know that."

Speechless, she opened and closed her mouth. Mia stopped eating. Who was this guy? He wasn't only helping her now, but also helping her friends. How could anyone have so much to give to others? To her, he was an angel disguised as a human. He had just met Sheila, and he was willing to help.

Declan continued eating, savoring the pleasure on his tongue. He loved the way Mia stole glances at him. He knew but pretended not to. He hadn't done anything for her, but she was looking at him as if he hung the moon every night.

The only people he trusted a bit were Alex, Chris, and now Mia. She was easy to trust. Sheila had stopped eating. His attention was on Chris. Declan stood up. "Thanks for the food. I think it's time I left."

Sheila stood up as well. "Thank you so much, Declan."
