Sitting beside Sarah, leaning back on the bench, Valerie took a slow drag of her cigarette. Her eyes were half closed as the smoke curled from her lips and drifted into the air.
Crossing one leg over the other, she pulled out a lighter and lit Sarah's cigarette too.
"So, what's the plan," Sarah asked her, with a curious look on her face, "Because the things you want from that Marissa Palace, aren't possible unless they all are dead. Do you know what I'm trying to say?" she asked Val before taking a long puff.
Valerie stared at the faint haze of smoke swirling around them. After a beat she finally exhaled, her lips twisting into a bitter smile, "Hmm. You're forgetting something, Sarah. My mom is already there, and I am not planning to ditch her this easily. Not unless I get what I want."
