"How strange. Why do you keep asking me if I'm dead or not? Could it be... you want me to die?" Mikel Anderson turned the tables on Lyra Smith.

Lyra, who had nothing of the sort in mind, suddenly found herself at a loss for words, unable to explain herself.

"No, that's not what I meant," she quietly explained.

Mikel Anderson: "I know, I was just teasing you."

Only upon hearing this did Lyra finally let out a sigh of relief.

At this point, she seemed to be in a daze from the alcohol, her almond eyes appearing unfocused.

Mikel Anderson lifted his hand in front of Lyra's face and waved: "Look at me!"

Lyra obediently looked at Mikel Anderson.

In that instant, Mikel doubted Lyra was actually sober but eventually concluded that she probably wasn't completely intoxicated. At least she still had a bit of consciousness. So, she wanted to feign drunkenness to make him talk.
