Edward approached the edge of the fog with a deep breath, cautiously stepping out to encounter a dark wolf snarling at a massive serpent. Despite being prepared for such encounters in a world full of monsters and tamers, the sight of these terrifying beasts still stunned him.
Beside him, the white-eyed rabbit quivered in fear, instinctively knowing that their entire herd would perish if they encountered creatures like the wolf and snake. They were both frozen with terror as they watched one of the last two rabbits lay in a pool of blood beside the battling beasts. Edward surveyed the scene and quickly located the other surviving rabbit a few meters away.
"We have to take advantage of their fight," he whispered, steeling his fists. "Can you get one of them?" Edward asked the white-eyed rabbit, aware that the monsters could easily turn their attention towards them.
The rabbit peered at its injured brother, emitting a soft squeak of fear. "Okay then," Edward interpreted, recognizing the rabbit's desire to leave the injured one to him. "I'll get the second one. Let's wait for an opportunity."
Edward was beginning to understand the rabbit after spending time with it. He knew that they needed to act fast before the monsters could turn their attention toward them. They remained still, waiting for their chance to strike and save the two rabbits.
Edward weighed his options and decided to take a moment to assess the situation before making any moves. His eyes darted to the monsters in front of him, studying the information he had about them.

But as he delved deeper into the details, his heart dropped with fear. These creatures were not to be underestimated, and their strength far exceeded that of the rabbit he had saved before.
As the black wolf and the Flat Tail Python engaged in a fierce battle, Edward watched intently, observing every move. The wolf, despite its speed, was unable to strike the snake due to its ability to spit poison. So, the wolf resorted to dodging the python's attacks. Meanwhile, the python grew increasingly confident, launching a full-fledged onslaught against its opponent.
With lightning-fast speed, the python lunged towards the wolf, jaws wide open as if to swallow its opponent whole. But the wolf was ready and agile, sidestepping the snake's attack. The python snarled in anger as it tried to turn to face the wolf, but it was too slow and crashed to the ground.
The wolf seized the opportunity and pounced on the snake, biting its vulnerable belly with sharp fangs. Edward knew that he needed to act fast. "Now!" he yelled as he dashed towards the rabbit that was a few feet away. The white-eyed rabbit also moved, dashing directly to its injured sibling.
The two monsters were taken aback by Edward and the rabbit's sudden appearance. The wolf was particularly enraged as he realized that they were after the same prey it had been chasing before the snake showed up.
The Snake didn't care much for the bunnies or Edward, instead seizing the moment to strike at the wolf's flank with a powerful swipe of its tail. The wolf was caught off guard and sent tumbling in Edward's direction.
Edward had just caught the second rabbit when he saw the wolf careening toward him. The showdown was over before it even began, and Edward wasted no time snatching up the frightened rabbit and bolting. But his heart dropped as he looked back to see the Flat Tail Python slithering towards the white-eyed rabbit and its injured brother, ready to swallow them whole.
Desperate to save the rabbits, Edward grabbed a small rock and hurled it at the snake. The blow did nothing but further enrage the serpent, which turned its attention to the puny human who dared to attack it. Meanwhile, the wolf had recovered and was closing in on Edward's neck.
Edward knew he couldn't outrun both of them. His mind raced, searching for a way out when a strange white glow began to emanate from his body. The white-eyed rabbit now awakened and alert saw their chance and dragged its injured sibling towards the mist.
As Edward prepared to run for his life, he was oblivious to the miraculous transformation taking place. His act of bravery not only saved him but gave the rabbits an opportunity to escape, filling the white-eyed rabbit with awe and gratitude for the human who had become their savior.
The snake had dealt a powerful blow to the wolf, causing it to limp and stumble. Even so, the wolf was not about to let its prey escape, and as soon as Edward started to run, the wolf growled and pounced toward him.
As the conflict raged on, the Flat Tail Python, which had been observing from a few meters, made its move. With a look of pure fury, the snake lunged toward Edward and the wolf, its eyes gleaming with malice.
As Edward witnessed the brutal onslaught of the monstrous duo, a shiver ran down his spine. Little did he know that the venomous serpent had its sights set on the ebony wolf, which could only whimper in agony as the deadly Flat Tail Python sunk its fangs into the poor creature's midsection, nearly ripping it asunder.
As Edward continued to run, he caught sight of a white-eyed rabbit and its injured sibling. Without hesitation, he grabbed the rabbits and continued his escape. It was then that he noticed a strange white glow emanating from his body. The glow seemed to envelop him and the rabbits, imbuing him with a burst of energy that left him feeling stronger and more focused.
With his heightened senses, Edward could sense the snake was just a few meters away. He dug deep, pushing his legs harder as he focused on escaping the deadly predator. The white-eyed rabbit remained close to his chest, the white glow encircling them both as they fled toward the fog.
Edward was sure that the white glow gave him a quick burst of energy, and now it had passed to the white-eyed rabbit. He wondered if the rabbit had helped him, but he didn't dwell on it and focused on getting away.
Edward's heart raced as the Flat Tail Python closed in on him at a terrifying pace. "Fuck! We need to make it," he cursed, feeling his back drenched in a cold sweat. His legs ached from the strenuous running, but he knew he couldn't slow down now.
His eyes focused on the fog a few meters ahead, desperately trying to escape, but, he knew that he knew that only death waited for him if this continued so without hesitation, he decided to take the leap to the wall of fog.
But just as he was about to make his move, he noticed the white-eyed rabbit that had been quietly absorbing the white glow suddenly open its eyes with an angry squeak. The rabbit's eyes glowed with a powerful silver light.
To his surprise, a silver barrier materialized just behind him, blocking the Flat Tail Python's path. The massive serpent hissed in frustration, but its anger only fueled its determination to strike. With a dark green glow enveloping its body, the snake accelerated toward the barrier, confident in its ability to overpower the small creature that dared to challenge it.
Edward sensed a mysterious power emanating from the rabbit, an ability that had conjured something behind him. Despite this, he never believed that the seemingly small and fragile creature could hold its own against the colossal python. With steadfast determination, he clutched the rabbits tightly and plunged into the mist. As they descended, a deafening thud echoed through the air, followed by the Flat Tail Python's pained hissing. "Thank goodness we made it," Edward breathed a sigh of relief as he checked on the rabbits and rose to his feet. "What happened just now?"
Suddenly, a peculiar childlike voice repeated the word "barrier" in Edward's head, causing him to scan his surroundings in confusion. No one was there, but the voice persisted. Edward turned to the white-eyed rabbit, who gazed at him with a brilliant glimmer in its eyes as if anticipating praise. "Wait, was that you? Can you speak now?" Edward was at a loss for words, unable to comprehend the rabbit's newfound ability. "Did you not trust me before?"
The rabbit nestled into Edward's chest and nuzzled him affectionately as if to assure him of its trust. "So why couldn't you talk before?" Edward's curiosity peaked as he reflected on the rabbit's white aura. "Could it be that..." He inhaled deeply and decided to investigate the mutated rabbit's information once again.
