Capítulo 2: Glimpse of War

Scene: *A vast open area,Deep trenches crisscross the terrain, lined with wooden planks and reinforced with sandbags. Many are filled with mud and debris, some partially collapsed from nearby explosions. Dugouts are carved into the walls of the trenches, providing temporary shelter for soldiers. The trenches extend in zigzag patterns, forming a network that stretches for miles. Barbed wire fences coil across the ground, twisted and broken in places, some areas tangled into massive heaps where vehicles have tried to push through. Rusting and sharp, they still present a deadly hazard to anyone attempting to cross the open ground. Dirt roads and paths are scarred with deep ruts from the tracks of heavy military vehicles like tanks and armored personnel carriers. They are uneven, with large sections gouged out by mortar blasts or bomb strikes. Patches of the ground are scorched, evidence of burning fuel and wreckage. Crater fields, created by artillery and bomb strikes, dot the landscape. These craters vary in size, some small and shallow, others wide and deep enough to resemble small lakes, filled with stagnant water. The edges of the craters are blackened and fractured, with jagged rocks and debris strewn around. Destroyed tanks and military vehicles are scattered across the field, some overturned, others half-buried in the ground from explosions. Their steel bodies are riddled with holes, parts twisted and burnt, often covered in layers of dust and ash. Field guns and artillery pieces lie abandoned, their barrels bent or broken. Some are still aimed at the enemy's last known position, frozen in place, with piles of spent shells surrounding them.*
