Capítulo 4: ****
Noor Bano and Sher Ali had a son after two years of marriage. Everyone was ecstatic on his birth and celebrations continued for days. He was a beautiful baby and as the years came he grew up to be a handsome man. Ehtisam Ali was a kind hearted man having a soft corner for every living soul. Ehtisam got his degree of medicine from USA and returned back as soon as possible as his love for his own motherland was undenying.
Simple was the story afterwards. Ehtisaam fell in love with Ayla, the daughter of a shepherd, and secured their relationship with Nikah. Life was going on with its ups and down until Eezad was born. Eezad's birth got some complications and as a result Ayla died. Ehtisam was heartbroken on this. Noor bano and Sher Ali's heart bled with grief.
Ehtisam wasn't ready to accept his love's death. Somewhere in his heart he thought of Eezad as being the cause of his wife's death. Eezad was totally dependant on Noor Bano and Noor Bano accepted him and cherished him with her whole heart.
Ehtisam left for England some days later. His father tried to stop him but he didn't budge. Sher Ali and Noor Bano were devastated as their only son was going away leaving these old individuals to look after the child. A child whose father didn't spare him a glance.
Time was going on with the same speed. Eezad's daadi and daada took extreme care of him. He was the apple of their eyes. But still there was a emptiness in his life, an empty space that no one could complete. The father whom he wished that he loved was nowhere near him. He was a sensitive child but never showed his unhappiness to his grandparents.
Every night and every morning of him was spent praying for his father's return. It was as though his wishes weren't answered but who knew wishes would be answered in such a way.
One day a person came to the haveli but not alone. Ehtisam Ali finally came back with a small girl in his hands. Everyone was ecstatic on his return. Noor bano and sher ali were on seventh sky. Eezad was finally gonna see his father after a wait of seven years. But this happiness faded away as soon as everyone observed the little girl. Dada and dadi were suspicious about her.
Ehtisam came and greeted everyone. But even then he did not spare his son a glance. Eezad's happiness ended up in smoke.
"Ammi abbi aap please mere sath aayen mujhe zaroori baat krni hai." Ehtisam said.
( Mom come with me please. I have to talk about something urgent.)
Noor Bano and Sher Ali were suspicious so they went with him in the room to listen to what he wanted to say.
Meanwhile Eezad was heartbroken at that behavior. Tears accumulated in his eyes and the sensitivity which he bore in his heart caused him to collapse right there on the ground. All the things blurred around him as he remembered his father's behavior.
