Thanks to Ceeret's status as the grandchild of the Adler family, Lexine's mother was immediately moved to a private ward, and her expenses were paid for.

Lexine watched all of this in a daze, as she remembered the words that Kivuli had told her. Her mother would possibly die if she did not find a way to take care of the parasite that was living in her body. However, another issue lay there.

How would she manage to remove the parasite when she was not a Shadow Being? She had hoped that Kivuli would be able to remove the parasite but his words were, 'Do I look like a shadow being? I am a pure shadow. I cannot do anything to help you here. So you have to search for a shadow being who can help you. They are the ones able to manifest such parasitic shadows in the first place.'

For the first time since her father's death, Lexine was at a loss on what to do. Therefore she silently watched as her mother was wheeled into the private ward.
