Ryder closed the laptop and turned to face Jake, her eyes focusing on the pair of lips, the only thing she could see from his face. It’s not like she was complaining though. Those were a very fine pair of lips. /"If I work out here, I will eventually trash the place again./"

So you’re not trying to subtly tell me to fuck off?

Jake looked at her and after making sure that she didn’t seem to mean that, he let out a sigh. /"But I like seeing you work./" Now he was really feeling regretful about this.

Ryder's cheeks turned red, and she could only be thankful that it was dark enough for Jake not to notice it. She wouldn’t want to look like a tomato with two eyes only because of such words. Then, because she felt, embarrassed, Ryder pushed Jake’s arm playfully, trying to sound mad.
