Misha is about to be discharged after two days of staying at the hospital. She did not have any complications so, the doctor discharged them along with the healthy fraternal twin.
As they were bidding goodbyes to the doctor and nurse who helped them during Misha's labor, they also packed the things she brought with her. Mary became busy behind them and from time to time, she would look at the family of four with an undiscerned emotion.
Lyndon helped Misha to sat on the wheelchair and after, he carried the twin in his arms. Mary carried the things with her before she followed Lyndon and Misha out from their room.
The nurse pushed Misha with care towards the hospital's lobby. There, Uncle Dan is already waiting for them. He looked at them happily and thought about his deceased wife and children.
Uncle Dan helped Misha to get inside the car with utmost care. He knew that it will be fatal if she will encounter with an accident during this period of time. Her body is still weak and she needed proper rest before she can recover.
Uncle Dan drove towards home with care.
They had already made a nursery room for their babies and Mary will be the one who will take care of them. She will be their nanny.
Upon arriving at their home, Butler Chen along with the two maids, Corrine and Corina, greeted them with smiles. They have been excited for the new addition of their family.
Mary went straight to the nursery room and put the things in order before she went back to the living room.
There, she looked at Misha and Lyndon who's filled with love for their children. She on the other hand could not keep herself together upon seeing the harmonious aura in them. She wanted to tear them apart, she could not let them be happy and could not let that man's plan go to waste. She must fulfill her duty and make that man happy.
Her sinister plan is in her mind and not showing any of it in her face. She approached them from behind and called them, "Madam Misha and Sir Lyndon, the room is ready. We can place them now there."
Not noticing someone at their back, they were startled by Mary's action. Misha looked at her, trying to identify her real intention.
She knew she could trust Mary but there's something inside her telling that the woman in front of them is not that simple.
"Okay. You can now rest." Lyndon dismissed her. She turned around and went straight to her own room.
"Little husband, how long Mary worked for you?" Misha asked. Lyndon looked at her with a puzzled expression. Mary worked for him when he was still in France and it's been a long time she's serving him. He knew that Mary is an orphan but he did not investigated her fully.
"It's been a long time now. I was about to graduate when she started working for me. Why?"
"Nothing. I just felt something's off about her. Maybe, I'm just being paranoid." Misha smiled at him meekly. She knew she's quite over sensitive to some things but her intuition never failed her even once. She's quite sure that Mary is hiding something from them and whatever it is, she's afraid for their family especially for the twins.
"I'll take care of it. I know what you're thinking." Lyndon could see her uneasiness and he knew that it's not just a baseless feelings. He trusted her and to be sure, he needed to find things out for their own safety.
***
When Mary went back to her room, she sent a text to an unknown number that she clearly knew. She typed her daily activities and the time Misha and Lyndon went home as well as the specifics between those times.
She laid down the bed and stared at the ceiling absent-mindedly. She kept thinking about the man who rescued her from the drug trafficking syndicate. The man that she never thought would be alive after the series of bullets they rained down on him on that specific day.
He changed his identity as well as his face but the bitter memories will forever embeded on his mind that's why he had planned this revenge.
Mary is just one of the men he planted around the couple and Mary knew this. She on the other hand is willing to lend her hand even her life to make his wishes into reality.
She knew that if she will be found out, her life will be forfeited and even when she confessed about her true intention, knowing Lyndon's cruelty towards his enemies, she surely not survive. She could only bitterly smile while feeling the love inside her. She wanted him and she wanted him to notice her sacrifices for him. She knew that his heart is already made of stone and hatred but she still hoped that a day will come that, that man will take notice of her.
This will be the end of volume 1. So long right? huehue...
