Capítulo 23: Orientation Day 1 Pt 3

Lilac's POV

I was glad that when I went back to the hall Jung Kook is not there anymore. I didn't know that fate would bring us so close that we would be in the same university. Maybe it's God's plan to let me get back together them faster. I really need more time to be able to face them again. Luckily 10 minutes after I came back in the hall, the seniors decide to do some ice breakers with all the students. We were separated to 10 person per group. The seniors ask us to create a slogan for our team. At first we felt so awkward with each other because we have difficulty in communicating as I don't know how to speak in Korean well.

Luckily there's a few of them in the group that know how to in English. At least I was not left out in the conversation. After a few rounds of discussion, we finally came up with our group slogan. When everyone had settle down with their slogan, we were asked to go on the stage to shout it out for everyone to hear and explain the meaning behind the slogan.

At first the girls want me to go because I could speak really well but I could only speak in English. I wanted to reject but they don't mind because they want a girl representative to speak for them since we had already pick a guy from the group. When it's our turn, I was really nervous because I felt that my Korean was very horrible. I didn't expect everyone to be so supportive after I finish speaking. No one was laughing at me even though I said a few wrong words in Korean. I felt appreciated here even if it's just the first day.

I hope that the days in my university here will create more beautiful moments here and meet more people so that I could succeed in my future. I know that I might not be the best but I would try to give my all. Even if my parents don't love me. So what? I still have people who are worth of my time and hard work. Even if in the end of the day no one appreciate me for what I've done, I just need to work hard for myself. In the end of the day, I still need to learn to survive on my own no matter what.
