Capítulo 54: Their Story

Under the light of the pearls, she saw Carl in his beast form lying on the ground. He tried to get up but couldn't. Blaze helped him get onto the pile of fur, where he lay down. Putting the lamp on the ground, she rushed to his side as she rubbed Carl's head while asking Blaze in a worried tone, "What happened to him? Wasn't he alright till late at night?"

Blaze, who was standing on the side, looking visibly worried, looked towards Jessica and was about to reply when she saw the sudden transformation of Carl into his Beastman form. He gently touched her hand and said, "I...I'm alright, Jessica. Don't be worried.".

She looked at him for a couple of seconds because he was trying to act all fine when she could clearly see how much effort and energy he used to just utter those words clearly while faking a smile, so she turned towards Blaze as she again repeated her question.
