Capítulo 260: War against Wakanda 3 -255

As the Wakandan shield collapsed, the suddenness of the event sent ripples of confusion and panic through the city. For generations, Wakanda had stood hidden, its advanced technology shielded from the prying eyes of the outside world. Now, that protection had been ripped away, exposing the nation to an unknown threat, a threat they never anticipated.

The skies above Birnin Zana darkened as Foundation aircraft approached, their sleek forms casting eerie shadows over the golden city. Alarms blared throughout the streets as the Wakandan defense systems scrambled to respond. Vibranium-powered turrets began to rise from hidden recesses, drones activated, and soldiers rushed into position. But the reality was clear—the attack had come too fast.

T'Challa, already in his Black Panther suit, ran through the palace halls toward the war room. His mind raced with strategies, trying to comprehend how anyone could have taken down the vibranium shield. The technology that protected Wakanda was unmatched, or so they had believed. Yet, here they were, vulnerable for the first time in generations.

Shuri, frantically working in her lab, began interfacing with the city's defense grid, trying to reroute power to boost their shield back up. "This doesn't make sense," she muttered, eyes wide as she analyzed the systems. "There's no external damage to the shield generators, but something disrupted the entire system from the outside." She paused for a moment before realization hit her. "They've got tech—technology as advanced as ours or better."

T'Challa's voice came through her Kimoyo beads. "Shuri, how long until the defenses are back online?"

"Not fast enough," she admitted, her voice tight with frustration. "We're facing an enemy that shouldn't exist. Outside of Wakanda, no one has this kind of capability."

Meanwhile, in the city below, Wakandan citizens gazed skyward, their faces filled with disbelief as sleek, metallic figures descended from the clouds. The Foundation's army, led by Napoleon flew with precision, their combat suits giving them aerial superiority over the grounded Wakandan forces. Each soldier's movement was calculated, their attack coordinated with near-perfect efficiency.

The Border Tribe, responsible for guarding Wakanda's outermost territories, had already rushed to the scene. They raised their vibranium shields, preparing for a ground assault. Their leader, W'Kabi, rode into battle atop a massive armored rhino, his warriors behind him. But what they faced wasn't an enemy they could engage in close combat. The Foundation soldiers remained airborne, their weaponry far beyond anything the Wakandans had seen.

One of the warriors launched a vibranium spear toward a hovering Foundation soldier, expecting it to pierce through any defenses. The spear, enhanced with Wakandan energy tech, shot through the air, but before it could strike, the Foundation soldier's suit emitted a pulse of energy, deflecting the spear with ease.

From above, Napoleon watched the chaos unfold with cold detachment. His tactical mind, honed from years of battle and conquest, analyzed the situation swiftly. Wakanda was impressive, no doubt, but they were unprepared for this kind of warfare. Grounded warriors, even with their vibranium weapons, were no match for the aerial dominance of his forces.

In the skies above the city, the first wave of Foundation soldiers opened fire. Their bullets, crafted from a vibranium alloy, tore through Wakandan defenses. Soldiers raised their vibranium shields, but the sheer firepower overwhelmed them. Energy blasts rained down, causing explosions throughout the streets, sending civilians scattering for cover.

T'Challa, having reached the war room, watched the battle unfold through a holographic display. His jaw clenched as he saw his people struggle against the invaders. "They've planned for this," he said to his father, King T'Chaka, who stood beside him. "This isn't a random attack—they know exactly how to counter our technology."

King T'Chaka's face was grim as he watched the screens. "Then we must fight back with everything we have. Wakanda has never been defeated, and we will not start today."

Outside, the Dora Milaje—the elite all-female warrior force of Wakanda—engaged in fierce combat with the Foundation soldiers. Okoye, their leader, swung her vibranium spear with deadly precision, taking out two soldiers who had ventured too close to the ground. But even as they fought with unmatched skill, the Dora Milaje found themselves constantly outmaneuvered by the airborne invaders.

Okoye, dodging a hail of vibranium bullets, shouted into her communication link. "We need air support! These cowards won't come down to face us!"

In the distance, Shuri's voice crackled through. "I'm working on it! Hold them off a little longer."

The Wakandan air force, sleek ships powered by vibranium technology, began to take off, their pilots pushing the aircraft to their limits. But the Foundation was prepared for this too. As Wakandan fighters ascended into the sky, they were met with a barrage of advanced weaponry, designed specifically to counter vibranium-based systems. The skies became a deadly battlefield, explosions lighting up the horizon.

On the ground, W'Kabi's Border Tribe warriors attempted to launch an offensive, hoping to bring the battle to ground level. They fired energy blasts from their spears and set their armored rhinos on the attack. But the Foundation soldiers, flying above with cold efficiency, simply rained destruction from above. Even the mighty rhinos were no match for the advanced vibranium-alloy weaponry the Foundation employed.

T'Challa, watching the battle from the war room, felt the weight of responsibility crash down upon him. This was a war unlike any Wakanda had faced before. The nation's greatest strength—its technological superiority—had been matched and, in some cases, outdone.

But Wakanda was not just a kingdom of technology—it was a kingdom of resilience.

"Shuri," T'Challa said, his voice steady despite the chaos. "Have you learned anything about the enemy?"

It was clear to everyone that this unknown enemy knew them well and knew their secrets, their defenses, strengths, and weaknesses. They had moved with lightning speed; as soon as the shield had come down, they had rushed at the city.

This had allowed them to bypass most of the defensive positions, forcing them to fight with their back to the walls of their own homes.

Then there was the fact that the speed of the sudden attack fully allowed the enemy to have air superiority, something that allowed them to fight multiple opponents at once and not be at a disadvantage.

Not that such a scenario was likely, after all, they also had superior numbers. While Wakanda might be able to field more than the one hundred thousand the Foundation had unleashed, the hidden nation had no time to monopolize its forces.

Shuri's voice came through the Kimoyo beads, laced with frustration. "Their tech is amazing, and those solders are all wearing suits like Tony Stark; they are only better! They have Vibranium! And clearly a lot of it."

T'Challa's mind raced as he absorbed Shuri's words. The invaders had vibranium—Wakanda's most precious resource, the lifeblood of their technological superiority—and they had clearly weaponized it in ways even Wakanda had not imagined. That realization was a devastating blow. How had these outsiders, unknown and unannounced, not only found vibranium but managed to incorporate it into their weapons and armor? It was clear that this was no ordinary enemy.

"They're using our own technology against us," T'Challa said, his voice grim as he scanned the holographic battle map. "How did they even acquire so much vibranium? Wakanda has been isolated for centuries."

King T'Chaka shook his head, his gaze hardening. "This is more than an attack. It's an invasion aimed at tearing down everything we've built."

In the skies, Napoleon's forces continued their relentless assault. The sound of explosions and gunfire echoed through the once-peaceful streets of Birnin Zana, and the Foundation's soldiers seemed to be everywhere at once. Hovering above the city, their suits made them untouchable by Wakanda's ground forces. Their vibranium-infused bullets easily pierced the shields of Wakandan soldiers, overwhelming them with their advanced firepower.

Even with Wakanda's elite forces, the Dora Milaje, and the Border Tribe, the Foundation's soldiers fought with a brutal efficiency that took full advantage of their technological superiority. From above, Napoleon watched with detached calculation, his mind always several steps ahead of his enemy. His forces were executing his plan with precision, and Wakanda's defenses were crumbling.

Okoye, leading the Dora Milaje, was in the thick of battle. Her vibranium spear struck down another enemy soldier, but even she could see that their efforts were not enough. "T'Challa!" she shouted into her comms. "We can't keep fighting like this! We need a new strategy. They're not coming down from the skies, and we're being outnumbered!"

T'Challa clenched his fists. The situation was deteriorating, and fast. "Shuri," he said, his tone urgent. "We need a way to ground them. They're using their aerial advantage to keep us on the defensive. Can you do anything?"

There was a pause as Shuri worked furiously in her lab, analyzing the data she had on the enemy forces. Her fingers flew over her holographic interface, pulling up every scrap of information she could on the Foundation soldiers and their technology. "Sure! Give me a week, maybe two and I will be able to make something, but for now? This isn't my area of expertise."

T'Challa's frustration grew, but he understood what she meant. This was war, all-out war, and Shuri, while brilliant, was, after all, a scientist. She had her field, and he, as the Black Panther, had his.

T'Challa exhaled sharply, his mind racing for solutions. He knew that they couldn't rely solely on technology in this fight; they had to use strategy and resilience, traits that had kept Wakanda strong for centuries. This enemy might have vibranium-enhanced technology, but they were not Wakandan. They did not understand the depth of Wakanda's spirit.

"Shuri," T'Challa said, his tone softening, "Do what you can from there. I'll handle things on the ground."

The streets of Birnin Zana were already becoming a warzone. Explosions shook the ground as Foundation soldiers relentlessly attacked, their aerial dominance raining destruction from above. The once-peaceful city was now filled with smoke, debris, and the sound of battle. Wakandan forces were retreating into the city, forming defensive positions around key points, but it was clear that they were at a disadvantage.

T'Challa raced through the streets, his heart heavy as he saw civilians being evacuated toward underground shelters. His people were not used to this—they had always been protected, isolated, safe. But now, for the first time, they were vulnerable, and it was his responsibility to protect them.

He came across W'Kabi and the remnants of the Border Tribe, who had regrouped after their retreat. W'Kabi's face was set in a grim mask as he met T'Challa's gaze. "We can't keep this up, T'Challa. They're overwhelming us."

T'Challa nodded. "I know. But we need to lure them to the ground. Once they're down here, we'll have a fighting chance."

W'Kabi's eyes narrowed as he processed the plan. "How do you propose we do that? They're staying airborne, out of our reach."

T'Challa scanned the sky, watching as the Foundation's soldiers hovered like vultures above the city, their attacks coordinated and precise. "I have an idea!"
