'Oh, I see.' After reading the info about the 14 people with similar appearances and ideals as her, she realized they all had some connections with the Fateverse.
Most of them were from fanfiction, or to be precise, 10 of the 14 people were from fanfiction. The remaining two were from an alternate universe in the Fateverse, while the other two were well-known characters: Artoria Pendragon Alter (Lancer) and Goddess Rhongomyniad.
Without hesitation, she said in her heart: 'System, I choose Goddess Rhongomyniad.'
Although if she chose one of the ten characters from fanfiction, they might be stronger than the regular Goddess Rhongomyniad because authors often like to give their protagonists some cheats or make characters stronger than in the original, it was still only a possibility.
What if she gambled and ended up with a character from a fanfiction that was dropped at chapter 1, where, if that character was the MC, he hadn't even received his cheat? Or worse, what if it was just another version of Goddess Rhongomyniad but nerfed by the fanfiction author?
Nonetheless, after Emma made up her mind, she told the system her choice and received a confirmation request:
[Is the host sure about choosing the Goddess Rhongomyniad template?]
Emma confirmed without hesitation: 'Yes.'
[Congratulations to the host for choosing the Goddess Rhongomyniad template.]
[The template meets the requirements of the same appearance and ideals as the host. The host will now obtain all the template's powers, items, memories, etc...]
It had been quite an emotional journey for Emma today. First, she felt a little happiness after a long time, and now she was feeling excitement. But she didn't have time to savor these emotions, which had started to become unfamiliar to her before she began to feel changes in her body and noticed that she was glowing with golden light.
«Alert!» «Alert!» «Anomaly detected in Subject N°1's room»
The abnormality concerning Emma didn't escape Hydra's notice, as she was under constant surveillance. The people monitoring her, seeing her emit light, quickly raised the emergency alarm.
As for Emma, at the same time her body began glowing, she felt an energy completely different from the one she used when opening portals as a mutant entered her body.
She also felt her body becoming stronger, and then various skills began emerging in her mind, including the entire memory of Goddess Rhongomyniad ranging from her time before becoming King Arthur, to when she was lost for 1,500 years, to when Excalibur was returned to her thanks to Bedivere.
In fact, from the moment she started glowing to the moment she accepted all of Goddess Rhongomyniad's memories, only a total of two seconds had passed.
It was only at this time that Hydra's emergency protocol was activated:
[Subject N°1 is unstable! Prepare containment with Protocol N°1.]
A purple gas started emerging in the room from all directions. Emma, who had regained consciousness, started feeling her mutant powers weaken.
You must understand that her Divine Body if it could be called that, had enhanced her mutant powers, but even so, her mutant abilities were weakening.
She murmured indifferently: "Worthy of being Hydra. If their goal from the beginning was to destroy mutants, they might have had more chances to succeed."
At this point, Emma no longer looked as pitiful as she had before. Her hair was as blonde as ever, but now she had a crown on her head. Her green eyes shone with an unusual green light.
She was no longer wearing the white clothes that marked her as an experiment subject but instead was dressed in an elaborate suit of silver armor with blue accents.
...
Meanwhile, at Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One was speaking with her fat disciple Wong when she suddenly noticed the Time Stone glowing with a green light, and she knew something had happened.
Without saying a word, she opened a portal and stepped through. Though Wong was curious, he knew there were things he didn't need to know. In any case, he had confidence that the Ancient One would always protect them.
After arriving at the other end of the portal, the Sorcerer Supreme used the Time Stone to see that the timeline she knew no longer existed new one was being created.
This shocked the Ancient One to the core. You must understand, everything that happens has already happened and should normally just follow the flow of fate.
There shouldn't be any changes. Even though she was shocked, this didn't destabilize her, and she quickly traced the source of the timeline shift.
When she projected her consciousness through the green energy of the Time Stone, she saw a woman with a slightly confused expression and a strange energy that she judged to be at the same level as some God-Kings from a pantheon.
The woman, who was a little confused at first, quickly regained clarity. Her eyes glowed even brighter, and then she raised her head, as if looking at the sky, even though she was in a basement.
What was strange was that, through the projection of the Time Stone, the woman seemed to be looking directly at the Ancient One. This made the Sorcerer Supreme feel as though the woman was gazing right into her eyes.
The woman in armor suddenly said, "What are you looking at, old woman?"
Sure enough, the Ancient One's suspicions were confirmed, and she became more solemn than before. This woman was addressing her directly, she could sense being spied on, even through the Time Stone.
Instinctively, the Ancient One deactivated the Time Stone. Although she was curious about this woman, since the latter could detect her, it would be seen as a provocation to continue spying.
...
The woman that the Ancient One had been spying on was Emma. With her newfound Clairvoyance, which was on par with the King of Mages, it was obvious that she could feel it when she was being spied on, especially when the one spying was being so blatant about it.
Not only had the Ancient One been spying on her, but Emma could also see the presence of other beings, like the God-King Odin and many others. Only after warning the Ancient One did they stop. It has always been taboo to spy on a powerful being unless you were ready for war.
Once she had dealt with these higher beings, she returned her attention to Hydra. They no longer posed any threat to her. The new energy within her divine body had completely eradicated all foreign elements. Hydra could no longer harm her.
Then, Emma made a simple gesture, and a barrier of pure magical energy surrounded her, nullifying the effects of the gas.
In fact, with just this magical barrier, she could destroy the entire base. But she didn't do it because of her Clairvoyance.
Her Clairvoyance was a combination of Merlin's and the King of Mages, Solomon's.
It allowed her to see what was happening in the present as if she were present everywhere. This was how she knew she was being spied on. But unlike when Goddess Rhongomyniad was in the fate verse, she could perceive the world across multiple dimensions and timelines, which allowed her to see events of the past, present, and possible futures. It was a near-omniscient perspective.
This wasn't something she could do here, it was because she was in the Marvel world, where the rules of time were different.
In short, what role did the Clairvoyance play that stopped her from immediately leveling the base? It was because Emma could see it. She could see...
