Capítulo 22: Chapter 22: A Childish Dispute

Han Yu's eyes narrowed slightly. In the next moment, the Avengers felt the air grow heavy and oppressive. An intangible yet mountain-like aura surged overwhelmingly toward Ultron.

In less than a heartbeat, the Iron Soldier possessed by Ultron exploded from within, scattering its shattered components across the room.

Han Yu hadn't even moved this time. He effortlessly neutralized the Iron Soldier controlled by Ultron. Many onlookers swallowed nervously.

To obliterate a steel body using only one's aura—could a normal person achieve such a feat? What kind of fearsome individual was this?

Even Thor gasped in shock. This method of combat was something he had never witnessed before.

After the destruction of the Iron Soldier, Ultron's voice echoed again in the hall.

"I'm free from the wires. I... am free. Avengers, I'll be back."

But in their moment of distraction, an Iron Soldier discreetly took the scepter holding the Mind Stone from the hall. Upon noticing, Thor quickly flew after it, determined to retrieve the scepter.

Silence fell in the room as the Avengers surveyed the destruction. They knew a new danger was looming.

"Han, thank you. We're lucky to have you," Stark said, his face dark with regret. He knew he had caused a significant problem. Originally, he had intended to create a super-robot to protect Earth.

But now, that super-robot's way of "protecting" Earth was by planning to eradicate humanity.

Han Yu nodded lightly, saying nothing. While his mission was to "recruit store assistants," it didn't have to be Ultron.

He was well aware of the chaos Ultron's creation would bring, yet he didn't prevent it. Instead, he even provided a powerful Green Lantern ring—a subtle form of assistance.

During Ultron's initial green-energy attack, Han Yu realized that Stark had used the Green Lantern ring as the primary power source in its development. As a result, Ultron's attacks were powered by green energy.

Han Yu thought to himself: "Excellent. Ultron has finally been created. It's about time for me to make my move and subdue him."

Aftermath.

Surveying the mess around them, Captain America glanced at the team and asked, "Ultron said he killed someone. But we're all fine. Who did he kill?"

"Not everyone is fine," Stark sighed, pulling out a sleek, transparent high-tech phone. He tapped it, projecting a damaged yellow spherical object into view.

Most didn't recognize it, but Banner walked forward with a puzzled expression. After a moment, his face turned grave as he turned back to the others. "This… this is J.A.R.V.I.S.?"

Banner had seen J.A.R.V.I.S. in this form before—as a complete, unblemished sphere. But now, it was shattered and broken. Clearly, Ultron's earlier claim of "killing someone" referred to J.A.R.V.I.S.

Banner was baffled. "How could it end up like this? If Ultron had been created successfully, J.A.R.V.I.S. should've alerted us immediately. Why would he attack us?"

Stark rubbed his temples in frustration. "It seems that combining the two energy sources caused Ultron's program to mutate, granting it autonomous consciousness. It twisted the intent of the protection protocols I programmed."

"No, J.A.R.V.I.S. is still here," Han Yu said with a slight smile. The Green Lantern ring could function as a semi-autonomous computer. As long as its wielder issued specific commands, it could perform corresponding operations.

"Retrieve J.A.R.V.I.S.'s hidden program," Han Yu instructed his Green Lantern ring. It immediately began scanning the fragmented remains of J.A.R.V.I.S. Moments later, J.A.R.V.I.S.'s familiar voice sounded once more.

"Mr. Stark, everyone, hello."

"This…?" Stark stared in disbelief, momentarily speechless. He turned to Han Yu, seeking an explanation.

Han Yu calmly explained, "During its battle with Ultron, J.A.R.V.I.S. concealed its core code. What Ultron destroyed was merely its outer shell—not its entirety."

Stark gave Han Yu a long, scrutinizing look. This man, who had started as an ordinary shopkeeper, had now proven capable of wielding Thor's hammer and uncovering J.A.R.V.I.S.'s hidden program.

Just who was Han Yu, really?

At that moment, Thor flew back through the shattered window, storming toward Stark. Grabbing him by the neck, he lifted him into the air and growled, "Stark, I don't even know what words can describe you anymore!"

Captain America stepped in to defuse the situation, saying, "Thor, let him go! Calm down. What about the enemy? Did you find him?"

Thor snorted and released Stark, his frustration evident. "Ultron disappeared 160 kilometers out. He's clever. Along the way, I was ambushed by several Iron Soldiers. They kept passing the scepter between them. By the time I caught up to the last robot, its hands were empty."

Turning to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Maria Hill, Captain America asked, "Can we track Ultron?"

Hill's fingers flew across the keyboard, her expression tense. After a minute, she stopped and sighed helplessly. "Right now, we can't even use the network. Ultron is connected to the internet. He exists within it. Honestly, he probably knows more about us than we do about him."

The atmosphere grew heavy. In this era of advanced technology, the internet was as omnipresent as air. With Ultron navigating it freely, it was likely he already had access to all the Avengers' information.

Any move they made would undoubtedly be noticed by him.

"I'll try again. Maybe we can find something," Hill said, resuming her work.

But after only a few keystrokes, she let out a sharp cry. Her laptop suddenly sparked and exploded, emitting a puff of black smoke.

A smooth, magnetic voice echoed from the device:

"Hahaha, finding me? Impossible. Wait for me—I'll come to you, Avengers!"

This time, Ultron's voice was steady and coherent, no longer fragmented like before. He could now articulate his words flawlessly.

Thor seethed. "You coward! If you have the guts, come out and fight me face-to-face!"

Ultron chuckled disdainfully. "Oh, we'll fight—don't worry. But not now. Once I'm ready, I'll come for you."

To Han Yu, the exchange felt oddly amusing. The banter between Thor and Ultron sounded more like a childish argument than a clash between adversaries.

After that, Ultron's signal vanished entirely, as though it had sunk into the ocean, leaving no trace behind.

"We'll take our leave now," Han Yu said as he stood up. He was eager to complete his "recruiting an assistant" mission. The extra mission reward was something he had only learned about from asking the system about task types. This was the first time he had encountered such a task.

"You can't leave. I want you to explain something—how were you able to lift my hammer?"

Thor blocked Han Yu's path, his expression filled with suspicion. He had wanted to ask this question for a long time: why could Han Yu lift Mjolnir?

Han Yu's voice turned cold. "I have no obligation to answer you. Step aside."

Thor narrowed his eyes and, without warning, swung his hammer directly at Han Yu. Most of those present hadn't anticipated Thor would attack him.

The hammer hurtled toward Han Yu with incredible speed, growing larger in his vision. At such a close range, the sudden attack would have been impossible for an ordinary person to evade.

"Humph."

A cold snort escaped Han Yu's lips as a torrent of brilliant green energy erupted from his body like a storm. The energy surged toward Thor, engulfing him.

Han Yu's counterattack was swift and decisive. The energy collided with Thor's hammer, forcing it back. The hammer ricocheted and struck Thor squarely in the chest.

Thor was sent flying, crashing into the wall. He landed on one knee, coughing violently as he tried to catch his breath.
