Peter Parker asked, deep in thought. No matter how he considered it, he couldn't imagine a normal person crying like that under ordinary circumstances. Even losing one's own father wouldn't cause such an extreme reaction. "Didn't you say he bullies you a lot? After today, he probably won't have the face to show up at school again."
Han Yu didn't deny it. Instead, he chuckled, clearly thrilled about the outcome.
Flash's outburst of tears was a result of Han Yu using a "Storm Cry Potion." Initially, he thought it would just cause some mild sobbing, but to his surprise, the effect was literal—it was a full-on storm of tears!
"This item is incredible. I wouldn't mind having a few more of these," Han Yu thought to himself, his mischievous imagination running wild. Using it on some overly serious villain could be quite entertaining.
Recalling the earlier scene, Wanda couldn't help but let out a laugh. It was the first time in her life she'd seen someone cry so intensely. If it had been used on a good or normal person, she might have had objections.
But used on Flash, a notorious school bully, Wanda couldn't help but find it hilarious.
With Flash's story as the opener, Peter Parker went on to share a string of tales from school, talking and munching away as Han Yu and Wanda listened with great interest.
One had attended high school but not abroad, and the other had never been to high school, so both were captivated by Peter's anecdotes about campus life.
While they were enjoying their meal, a sudden explosion erupted from a nearby bank. The shockwave shattered several windows of the restaurant.
Sitting by the window, Han Yu quickly used his telekinesis to deflect the flying shards of glass.
Turning to look, they saw a group of robbers attempting to break into an ATM next to the bank. They had somehow acquired explosives and had blown open the ATM, now hurriedly grabbing cash from it.
"What do you think? Want to give it a shot?"
Han Yu noticed the expression on Peter Parker's face—not fear, but excitement—and instantly knew what he was thinking.
"Can I go?"
Although it was technically his decision, Peter instinctively sought Han Yu's permission. He had already started to see Han Yu as an older brother figure, so he naturally wanted his opinion.
Han Yu smiled. "Of course, just be careful."
It was just a minor ATM robbery, and such cases were perfect for Peter Parker to get some practice.
With Han Yu's approval, Peter let out a quiet cheer, grabbed his backpack, and dashed to the restroom. Moments later, a red figure swung out on a white thread, heading toward the scene.
"Good evening, gentlemen! Not the best choice for some post-dinner exercise, I'd say."
Peter quipped as he swung into the fray. His first move wasn't to take down the robbers but to start with some light banter.
The robbers exchanged glances before pulling out their guns, all aimed at Peter Parker in unison.
Peter's spider-sense kicked in, and his body reacted instinctively. He shot a web at one robber's hand, yanking it back so forcefully that the man's hand smacked the face of the guy next to him.
The robber on the far end froze for a second, startled by Peter's unique fighting style. By the time he regained his composure, a red fist was already looming large in his vision.
That punch sent the 80-kilogram man crashing to the ground, unconscious. The other two were quickly webbed up and hung from the ceiling.
Peter could barely contain his excitement, wanting to shout out loud, but seeing the growing crowd outside, he decided it was best to make a quick exit.
"Wait! Who are you?"
Someone in the crowd called out.
Just as Peter was about to shoot his web and leave, he paused for a moment before replying.
"I'm Spider-Man!"
Five minutes later.
Back at the table, Peter returned with slightly disheveled hair. Han Yu smiled. "Feeling good?"
"Absolutely!"
Peter's face was still lit up with excitement. For someone who had lived an ordinary life for over a decade, this was his first time stopping a robbery. Even though it was just a small ATM heist, Peter was thrilled beyond words.
"Alright, we've finished eating. Let's head home."
Han Yu stood up. He had initially planned to give Peter a bit of a lecture, warning him not to get too carried away by the thrill. But after a moment's thought, he decided it wasn't necessary.
Having already given Peter Parker three life-saving safety mechanisms in his suit, Han Yu wasn't overly concerned. For a young hero his age, no amount of advice would be effective until he faced life-and-death situations firsthand.
After dropping Peter off at home, Wanda finally brought up her concerns to Han Yu on the way back.
"He's only a high school freshman. Isn't giving him this kind of gear a bit too dangerous?"
Earlier, because they were outside, Wanda refrained from speaking her mind out of consideration for Peter's pride. But even she thought it was risky to entrust such powerful equipment to a boy in his first year of high school.
Han Yu replied calmly, "That's his own ability; it has nothing to do with the suit I gave him. Besides, if I hadn't made it for him, he'd figure out how to make something similar sooner or later. I've already installed three life-saving mechanisms in the suit. If he survives three life-or-death encounters and still wants to be a superhero, that's his choice. If he can't, those three safeguards will be enough to teach him caution."
Wanda nodded in agreement, deciding not to press the matter further. After all, Peter Parker was a superpowered teenager, just sixteen years old.
If Han Yu hadn't stepped in to help him, Peter might have recklessly gotten himself into even worse trouble.
Back at the grocery store, Han Yu noticed the lights on in the second-floor lounge. As he opened the door, the lively noise from upstairs reached his ears.
Heading up, he was greeted by an unexpected sight: Ace, the "Fire Fist" from the Whitebeard Pirates, and Marco, the "Phoenix," were sitting together playing poker.
Seeing Han Yu and Wanda return, they greeted them casually, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
Han Yu wasn't surprised. While they were eating earlier, his Green Lantern ring had relayed a message from Quicksilver, asking if he could bring Ace and Marco over to the store for some fun. Han Yu had agreed, on the condition that they didn't cause any trouble.
Leaving the second floor to Quicksilver and his guests, Han Yu and Wanda headed up to the third floor.
While Wanda took a shower, Han Yu sat alone on the sofa in the lounge, lost in thought.
From Peter Parker's perspective as a relatively ordinary high schooler, Han Yu had gleaned insight into the daily lives of most students.
Their routines seemed simple: either going out to play or lazing around at home.
The Marvel world, Han Yu mused, was sorely lacking in entertainment options. It wasn't that there were no games, but this being a world originally based on movies, the scope was severely limited.
Even though it had now become a fully realized universe, the available games were mostly basic 2D ones, and neither their quality nor their storytelling could compare to what Han Yu had experienced in his past life.
"If I brought games, novels, or movies from my previous world to this one, they'd definitely take the world by storm!"
Han Yu's eyes sparkled with excitement. No matter how powerful he was, he was still a young man in his early twenties. He couldn't spend all his time thinking about completing missions or saving the world.
There was no need to—his current strength was more than enough for him to dominate his own "martial arts world."
With this in mind, Han Yu dashed into his room and booted up his computer.
"Why not start with a novel? This world doesn't even have online literature. How are people supposed to vent their pent-up emotions? No wonder the crime rate is so high."
In his past life, Han Yu had written online novels. Though they hadn't been very successful, things could be different in this world.
He navigated to a popular novel website, a massive platform with servers based in China, called "Sky Vault Novels."
Thanks to advanced technology, this website was globally connected, featuring translated foreign novels as well as Chinese works rendered into other languages.
Seeing this, Han Yu couldn't help but praise his homeland in his heart. Whether in his previous life or this one, China remained impressive.
After familiarizing himself with the site, Han Yu swiftly registered as an author and began uploading his first urban novel in the Marvel world.
The title? A Truly Exciting Book.
