Capítulo 153: Chapter 154: Why Such a Huge Gap Among Quicksilvers

In the video, Pietro Maximoff rushed into the school and found that a massive explosion had already occurred inside. However, the flames and light seemed almost frozen in mid-air, expanding outwards at an extremely slow pace.

Pietro Maximoff didn't seem to be in a hurry to save people. Instead, he played with the debris floating in the air and casually flicked his fingers before starting to rescue the students.

Whoosh!

Pietro Maximoff was like a gust of wind, and in a blink of an eye, he brought a young man with a wide-open mouth outside the school.

Whoosh!

Immediately after, he sent the second person out.

When he rescued the third person, perhaps because he found the girl pretty, he kissed her several times. Of course, it wasn't a real kiss but just a playful gesture in the air. However, it showed that the situation was a piece of cake for him, and he could rescue people with ease; otherwise, he wouldn't have had the leisure to do such things.

Crack!

After saving all three people in the room, a fragment flew over and shattered the floating glasses.

Naturally, glasses couldn't stay afloat in mid-air. The reason they appeared that way was that this was under Pietro Maximoff's "extreme slow-motion perspective." In his eyes, the speed at which the glasses fell to the ground was so slow that it appeared to be stationary.

Yet, even under this "extreme slow-motion perspective," Pietro Maximoff's figure was still too fast for anyone to catch with the naked eye. His speed was beyond imagination.

After rescuing everyone in this room, the camera shifted to the second room. The ground in this room bulged up, and the floor cracked open, with a large fire erupting from beneath, resembling a volcano about to erupt.

Pietro Maximoff transformed into a gale, moving so fast that no one could see clearly. Each time he passed, someone disappeared from the scene.

In such a terrifying explosion site, rescuing people was a breeze for Pietro Maximoff. He even had time to use a cup to catch water suspended in mid-air and kindly helped a male student who was checking his reflection to fix his hair.

He expressed disdain when he encountered a couple about to kiss, played with darts held by another guy, performed the "Space Step" move, drank cola, and even sent a dog eating pizza to safety.

By the time he had done all this, the camera perspective returned to normal, and a deafening explosion echoed. Flames and thick smoke filled the air, yet all the students who should have died in the explosion were now outside. Even the dog was happily munching on pizza, as if nothing had happened.

"Wow!" Pietro Maximoff pushed his glasses up to his forehead and looked at the exploding school.

The screen went dark, and the video ended.

"Both are Quicksilver, why is there such a huge difference?" Clint Barton couldn't help but speak first.

"No, the difference is beyond 'huge,'" Stephen Strange said, "Quicksilver from Parallel World No. 4 easily saved dozens of people as if he were playing a game. In contrast, our Quicksilver reaches his limit after saving just two people."

"Quicksilver from Parallel World No. 4 only saved dozens of people because there were only dozens of people on-site," Natasha Romanoff explained, "Our Quicksilver can only save two people because that's the extent of his abilities."

Splat!

Natasha Romanoff's words were like a knife stabbing into Pietro Maximoff's heart.

"Enough, everyone. Since the Quicksilver from Parallel World No. 4 can be this fast, then I can do it too." Pietro Maximoff clenched his fists.

[Fourth question begins. Please be prepared.]

[1. Who constructed Vision's body?]

[A) Ultron]

[B) Thor Odinson]

[C) Dr. Bruce Banner]

[D) Tony Stark (Iron Man)]

[2. Who intervened at the last moment to create Vision's birth?]

[A) Thor Odinson]

[B) Captain America, Steve Rogers]

[C) Dr. Bruce Banner]

[D) Tony Stark (Iron Man)]

[3. Who created Ultron?]

[A) Dr. Bruce Banner]

[B) Tony Stark (Iron Man)]

[C) The collaboration of the above two]

[D) Ultron was not created but came from an extraterrestrial source]

[Answer all three questions correctly to receive knowledge about the Ultimate Nullifier Virus (Perfect Version); answer two questions correctly to receive knowledge about the Kilian Version of the Ultimate Nullifier Virus; answer one question correctly to receive two doses of the Perfect Version of the Ultimate Nullifier Virus; answer all questions incorrectly to deduct three years from your lifespan.]

"Using Kilian's creation as a reward, huh," Steve Rogers said somewhat helplessly, "I was against making such things before, but now it seems there's no stopping it."

"It's called the Ultimate Nullifier Virus?" Clint Barton showed obvious interest, "I think it could be useful. Kilian's performance was impressive; he managed to dismantle Stark's armor with his bare hands, which shows how powerful he is."

"I understand your concerns," Natasha Romanoff chimed in, "If we do end up obtaining the Ultimate Nullifier Virus, we could restrict its use only to those of us who participated in the quiz. That way, we can ensure it won't spread uncontrollably."

"If you guys are interested, then go ahead and answer the questions," Tony Stark said, folding his arms, "I have no interest in participating."

"Me neither," Steve Rogers added.

"I can pass as well," Bruce Banner said, equally uninterested.

"So, it's up to you guys," Stephen Strange also declined, knowing that in the future, he would become an immensely powerful sorcerer and wouldn't be interested in the Ultimate Nullifier Virus.

Moreover, as a doctor, he had reservations about injecting unknown substances into his body.

"I have no use for it either," Thor shrugged, "I am even more invulnerable."

"Neither do I," Wanda Maximoff said.

"Same here," Pietro Maximoff also withdrew from answering.

That left Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton, the two veteran Avengers, who were still interested in the Ultimate Nullifier Virus.

It was understandable; among the participants in the quiz space, Steve Rogers was a super-soldier with a more powerful zombie form; Bruce Banner could transform into the Hulk, one of the strongest beings; Thor was already an immensely powerful god; Tony Stark, with his suit of armor, could do anything; Stephen Strange was a master sorcerer capable of manipulating even gods; and Pietro Maximoff was unmatched in speed, despite his humorous encounters with bullets. As for Wanda Maximoff, she was the Scarlet Witch, who had influenced the entire Avengers.

When compared to all of them, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton seemed like regular humans, although they were incredibly skilled spies and definitely not ordinary people. Still, compared to the others, they were rather "normal."

"This question is interesting, with three sub-questions, and the rewards based on the number of correct answers," Tony Stark said, "It's the first time."

"The question-makers are getting more creative," Bruce Banner added.

"So, I think that absurd theory might be right," Tony Stark said.

"What theory?" Stephen Strange asked.

"That we live in a book," Tony Stark said.

"How can you tell?" Stephen Strange inquired.

"Because of the changing quiz formats," Tony Stark explained, "The author must be afraid of boring readers with the same patterns, so they're coming up with new styles."

"Alright, Stark, I'm sure the psychiatric doctor would love to hear about your delusions," Steve Rogers said, "Now, let's focus on answering the questions."

"I used to think Vision was an alien, but it turns out he's a robot, just like Ultron," Clint Barton said, "I never expected that."

"Isn't that obvious?" Tony Stark replied, "His voice is identical to JARVIS. So, it's evident that I participated in creating Vision as well."

"Why didn't you say that before?" Natasha Romanoff raised an eyebrow, "Did you only realize it after seeing the question?"

"Believe it or not, I figured it out long ago," Tony Stark said.

"The first sub-question seems too easy," Stephen Strange joined the discussion, "Vision was an ally of the Avengers and fought against Ultron, so we can eliminate one option directly."

"Correct, A can be eliminated," Natasha Romanoff agreed, "And we can also exclude B. Thor creating robots? I don't buy it."

"Romanoff, you make me sad," Thor looked sad, "Do you think I'm that dumb?"

"Alright, Thor, let me ask you a basic question," Natasha Romanoff looked at Thor, "Do you know how to use a computer?"

"What's a computer?" Thor asked, full of curiosity.

"..." Natasha Romanoff looked at him as if she were looking at a primitive man. It was rather absurd that someone in this day and age didn't know what a computer was, even though she knew he wasn't from Earth but a god from Asgard.

"It seems the answer can only be between Stark and Banner," Stephen Strange said.

"I feel like it should be Stark," Steve Rogers expressed his opinion, "Armor and robots are his domain, aren't they?"

"Definitely Stark!" Clint Barton confidently added, "JARVIS plus the armor is like a simplified version of a robot, and Vision is just a more complex version! Plus, Vision's system is based on JARVIS, so it's obvious that Stark created Vision, so we should choose Stark for this question."

"It's not necessarily," just when everyone believed it was Tony Stark, he had a different view, "It might not be me."

"Stark, if not you, then who?" Natasha Romanoff asked, "Isn't this your domain?"

"Did you notice that Vision's body is significantly different from Ultron's body?" Tony Stark asked.

"It doesn't look like a machine at all. Vision's body looks more... human," Steve Rogers thought for a moment, "Even though his skin color is different from humans, he does indeed appear more organic than mechanical."

"I think Vision's body is not mechanical but organic," Tony Stark said in a serious tone.

"His body is organic, but his neural network is JARVIS. Is that possible?" Bruce Banner asked.

"Although we don't have all the details, that seems to be the case for now," Tony Stark said, "And organic biology is Banner's domain."

"So, Stark, are you suggesting we choose Dr. Banner?" Natasha Romanoff asked.

"It's up to you to decide; I'm just expressing my opinion," Tony Stark replied.

"Alright, then I'll choose..."

"I choose C!" Clint Barton interrupted Natasha Romanoff, making his selection before her.

[Answer incorrect!]

Seeing Tony Stark's confident analysis, they thought it was almost a sure thing, but unexpectedly, it was wrong.

"Clint, seriously? You had to steal my answer?" Natasha Romanoff said to Clint Barton.

"It doesn't matter who gets the Ultimate Nullifier Virus; we both will be injected with it, so what difference does it make who answers?" Clint Barton laughed.

"If that's the case, why did you have to snatch it from me?" Natasha Romanoff retorted, "Even if we both answer incorrectly, it's just three years off our lifespan. I can handle that."

"I know, and I can handle it too. So let's not waste time arguing about this," Clint Barton said.

The lights came on, and a video started playing.

At first, it showed them inside a room.

"Still trying to crack the launch codes?" Tony Stark threw a dart at the wall.

"Yes, but no progress yet," Nick Fury said, slicing bread with a knife.

"I hacked into the Pentagon's firewall during high school because of a dare," Tony Stark said.

"I contacted some friends in the cybernet," Nick Fury said, holding up a slice of bread.

"Cybernet?" Steve Rogers asked, leaning against the door.

"The world's internet hub in Oslo. Every byte flows through there, making it the fastest channel in the world," Bruce Banner explained.

"Then what did they say?" Clint Barton asked, holding a dart.

"Ultron is obsessed with the missiles, but the codes are constantly changing," Nick Fury said.

"Who's changing them?" Tony Stark asked.

"An unknown party," Nick Fury said.

"Do we have an ally?" Natasha Romanoff asked.

"It's not an ally of ours, but an enemy of Ultron," Nick Fury said, "It's not quite the same thing. Nevertheless, I'm willing to pay a high price to find out who it is."

"Perhaps we need to pay a visit to Oslo," Tony Stark said, "and find this unknown party."

At this point, Natasha Romanoff addressed Nick Fury, "Boss, everything is fine, but I hope you have more intel the next time we meet."

"I do. I have all of you," Nick Fury said, holding a glass of wine, "In the past, my eyes and ears were everywhere, and I had access to all the technology you could dream of. Now, we have to start from scratch, relying solely on our wits and determination to save the world."

Nick Fury walked up to the table, in front of the Avengers, and continued, "Ultron said that his only obstacle between him and his mission is the Avengers. Whether he admits it or not, his mission is to destroy the Earth and reduce everything to ashes. So stand up, and let's defeat this metallic bastard with our intelligence."

Nick Fury sat down on a chair, "So, what does he want?"

"He wants to become better, better than us," Steve Rogers said, "He's been creating bodies for himself."

"Human bodies," Tony Stark added, "Human biology is inefficient; biologically speaking, we are outdated. But he has always wanted to be reborn as a human."

"He needs to evolve. Ultron needs evolution," Bruce Banner said.

"How does he evolve?" Nick Fury asked.

"Has anyone contacted Helen Cho?" Bruce Banner said.

The camera changed, and the cradle opened slowly, revealing a body inside. Most of the body was composed of light, and within that model was a red-colored muscle structure.

Although the body was not yet complete, it was clear that it was Vision.

"Really beautiful," a beautiful Asian girl looked at the cellular structure on the computer screen and said, "Vibranium atoms can not only harmoniously coexist with tissue cells, but they can also combine with them. But SHIELD..."

"That's the planet's most functional substance, and they use it as a frisbee," Ultron's mechanical voice sounded mocking, "Typical humans. They only study the surface and never bother to delve deeper."

As Ultron spoke, Loki's scepter was held by another robot and placed on another device. A red light shot onto the scepter.

Ultron approached the scepter, and it shattered, revealing a yellow gem floating above it.

Ultron grasped the gem and placed it on Vision's forehead.

"So, the Mind Stone on Vision's forehead is Loki's scepter!" Steve Rogers couldn't help but exclaim, "So, the Mind Stone was in our hands for a while!"

"Yes, after defeating Loki, the scepter was in our hands, right?" Bruce Banner said, "In the previous video, it was handed over to SHIELD, or they intended to do so, but ultimately it was taken by Hydra. Then Captain retrieved it, and then the Avengers went to Sokovia to retrieve the scepter..."

"Stark is Hydra, and Jasper Sitwell is Hydra too, so if the scepter ended up in Jasper's hands and then flowed back to Stark's hands, it makes sense," Tony Stark frowned slightly, "but Captain managed to interfere and tricked Jasper, taking the scepter away from him. So, how did the scepter end up with Stark? I can't figure that out."

"Don't dwell on it if you can't figure it out. This is about the future, and the answer space only played a few fragments; there are definitely many missing plot points," Stephen Strange spoke up, "What I'm more interested in is, during the time the scepter was with Loki, did he know that it was actually the Mind Stone?"

"He probably didn't know, considering that the colors are different. The scepter was blue, while the Mind Stone is yellow," Bruce Banner said.

"Yes, it's the same thing, so why the difference in color?" Clint Barton looked at Thor, "Do the Infinity Stones change colors?"

"To my knowledge, they don't. The colors of the Infinity Stones are unique," Thor said.

"Then why are there two colors for the Mind Stone?" Clint Barton asked.

"That's something I don't understand either," Thor shook his head.

"Hey, what about mocking Captain's shield?" Tony Stark suddenly said, "I have to admit, Ultron's description is spot on, 'frisbee'! Captain has quite the talent for making that shield fly out and return."

The video continued, and Helen Cho was connecting the wires to Ultron's head, "Cellular integration will take a few hours, but we can start uploading consciousness. We are uploading your brain matrix."

"I can sense him," Wanda Maximoff, standing nearby, spoke as she looked at Vision inside the cradle, "He's dreaming."

"I wouldn't call it dreaming," Helen Cho said, "It's the basic consciousness information noise of Ultron..."

"How much longer?" Ultron, sitting there, interrupted Helen Cho, "I'm not rushing you."

"We're imprinting a biological brain, and there are no shortcuts," Helen Cho said.

As Helen Cho and Ultron conversed, Wanda Maximoff approached the cradle, reaching out to touch it. Suddenly, she saw a horrifying scene: the entire Earth being destroyed.

Perhaps what she saw was too shocking; Wanda Maximoff screamed in pain.

Ultron quickly stood up, showing that he still cared somewhat about Wanda Maximoff.

"How could you?" Wanda Maximoff questioned Ultron.

"No wonder the Maximoff twins betrayed Ultron and sided with the Avengers; they must have discovered Ultron's intention to destroy the world," Stephen Strange remarked upon seeing this.

"The previous plot was quite clear; the Maximoff twins had a vendetta against Stark but weren't insane," Natasha Romanoff said, "Since they discovered Ultron's true intentions, it's only natural that they switched sides."

"Exactly," Clint Barton said, "After all, they have to survive on Earth too. Helping Ultron destroy the world would be suicide. I don't think anyone is that foolish."

"How could I what?" Ultron countered in the video.

"You said we needed to eliminate the Avengers and create a better world," Wanda Maximoff said.

"It will be a better world," Ultron replied.

"When everyone is dead?" Wanda Maximoff asked.
