Capítulo 35: Ill-fated relationship

I never had a dream or a goal before other than to find food and survive the day.

It wasn’t until Jace, my little ray of sunshine, came along that I found joy in making plans for the future and setting both short and long-term goals which I could work on over time.

Something soft and heavenly scented woke me up, my eyes fluttering open. The first thing I saw as soon as my vision adjusted was the white ceiling.

I groaned, rolling to the side, expecting to find my little boy fast asleep beside me.

However, instead of Jace, a silhouette sat on a chair; his amused gaze had me gasping in an instant.

I got up, confused and angry at the same time.

Embarrassed as I was, I looked down and saw I was fully clothed. I had the same attire as yesterday.

I slowly recalled that supposedly, I should have gone home, showered, and then reported to work. Tisha might be wondering what happened. However, I was also worried that Aunt Maurice might have called.
