Capítulo 276: Chapter 275

Damn it!!

Kaido's mind raced, struggling to comprehend what was happening. What is going on??? One moment, chains bind him, and the next, an invisible force cuts his soul. How were they able to bypass his dragon defenses so easily?

Are there this many branches of the Soul-Soul Fruit? His frustration mounted as he thought about the attacks piercing his spirit instead of his body.

At that moment, Zoro took a step forward, leaping into the air.

"Nitoryu: Kasane, Yakusoku Giri!!"

[Two Sword Style: Overlap, Promised Slash]

With a battle cry, Zoro raised Wado Ichimonji high, its edge gleaming under the intense pressure of his sword energy. A powerful surge of sword energy erupted from the blade, crashing down upon the entire square. The weight of the attack was felt far and wide, pressing down on every pirate nearby.

The spectators gasped in terror, eyes widening in fear. It was as though a sword had been placed at their throats, choking them with the imminent threat of death.

"What... what is this?!"

"Why can't I move?! Someone help me—I want to go home!!"

"Please! This is a nightmare!"

The sheer spiritual pressure emanating from Zoro's strike was unbearable, pinning even the strongest pirates to the ground.

Kaido, though not a swordsman, knew enough to recognize something was amiss. "What do you mean by two swords? You're clearly using one sword!" He stared at Zoro, confused by the technique.

But as Zoro descended, Kaido's vision blurred for a moment. It seemed like another figure had appeared alongside him—a spirit girl, her hands grasping the hilt of Wado Ichimonji as well.

In that instant, Zoro was not alone.

The spirit and Zoro together wielded the sword, bringing it down with unstoppable force.

"Another swordsman..." Kaido muttered, recognizing the weight of the attack. Memories flashed in his mind—eighteen years ago, a similar swordsman, Kozuki Oden, had struck him with such power. Oden had broken through his defense with one strike.

Now, this young swordsman, Zoro, was giving him that same feeling of dread.

Kaido quickly summoned his Conqueror's Haki, wrapping it around his dragon claws. His massive, armored scales expanded and thickened, forming an impenetrable shield. Confident that this defense was flawless, Kaido believed nothing could break through it—not even Oden's legendary sword could scar him in his prime.

As Zoro's sword met Kaido's dragon claw, the sound of metal clashing filled the air. Sparks erupted as the two titanic forces collided.

Kaido sneered, "Do you really think all of you have soul-related abilities?"

He tightened his grip on Wado Ichimonji, confident in his victory.

But then... his smirk faltered.

What... what is this?!

Kaido felt an overwhelming pressure radiating from the sword, as if a part of his very soul was being drained. His dragon claw trembled, unable to resist the sudden burst of soul energy from Zoro's sword.

Boom!!

The sword cut deeper than Kaido could have expected, slicing through not just his flesh, but straight into his soul. His entire body seized up, and with a violent shudder, Kaido fell to the ground.

Zoro landed gracefully, standing tall over the fallen Emperor. His voice was calm and resolute: "This is Two Swords Style."

Just as Zoro made his proclamation, Nico Robin stepped forward, crossing her arms in the familiar Fleur gesture. A swarm of spectral arms materialized around Kaido, forming seals.

"Summoning Jutsu: Five-Layer Rashomon!!"

The sky darkened as massive bronze gates, each engraved with a fearsome oni face, fell from the heavens. One by one, the gates slammed into the ground, creating a deafening series of crashes as they trapped Kaido.

Under normal circumstances, Kaido would have been able to shrug off the Rashomon gates, but the combined attacks from Brook, Usopp, and Zoro had left him severely weakened.

Kaido, still in his dragon form, roared in pain as the gates twisted his body. His dragon scales, though resilient, couldn't withstand the crushing weight of the Rashomon gates. With a final, agonized howl, his massive blue dragon form dissolved, reverting to his human form.

Logan approached, holding a set of seastone chains. He wrapped them around Kaido's limbs, binding him tightly.

"That should hold you..." Logan muttered, but then he paused, slapping his forehead. "Ah, I forgot. You've trained in Wano Country for years. These seastone chains won't work on you, will they?"

Indeed, Kaido had built up resistance to seastone over the years, just like Luffy had during his short time in Wano.

Kaido chuckled darkly, "You're well-informed, boy."

Logan reached into his cloak, producing another set of chains. This time, they were Hell Chains.

Quickly, Logan wrapped Kaido in the fiery chains. The moment they touched his skin, the hellfire ignited, burning Kaido's soul.

"AHHH!!!" Kaido screamed in agony, his voice echoing across the battlefield.

"What... what is this?!" Kaido roared in disbelief. "Where did you all get these chains?! Are they mass-produced like seastone now?!"

The pain was unbearable. Kaido had already experienced the bite of Brook's Hell Chains, and now Logan's chains burned with the same soul-searing flames.

Brook grinned and added, "Time for a little insurance," as he approached with another set of Hell Chains, wrapping Kaido's body head-to-toe in the burning chains.

Kaido, once thought invincible, now lay bound in flames. His soul was continuously scorched, leaving him unable to recover his strength. He was a dragon shackled, powerless before the Straw Hat Pirates.

"Damn it! I have no grudges against you, why are you doing this to me?!" Kaido bellowed.

"We have no grudge against you," Logan replied with a nonchalant shrug. "We explained our purpose when we got here."

"Then why...?" Kaido's voice trailed off in confusion.

Snap!

Before Kaido could finish, Nami smacked him on the head with her staff. "Idiot! We told you we just wanted to copy the Road Poneglyph!" Her fierce glare sent a shiver through even the strongest of men.

"Exactly," Logan added, now bored. "Look at you, just like Big Mom. You could've avoided all this drama if you just calmed down."

Kaido's eyes shot wide open. "Wait, what? Linlin was defeated by you?!"

Logan chuckled. "Nervous? You two really had something going on, didn't you?"

Kaido's expression darkened. "BULLSHIT! I'd NEVER have anything to do with that old woman!!!" He furiously denied it, but Logan's mischievous grin only widened.

"I knew it... You sold yourself for that mythical Zoan fruit, didn't you?"

Kaido's face flushed with anger. "DON'T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS!!"

Logan laughed, while Kaido's frustration reached a breaking point. Memories of his foolish youth, when Big Mom tricked him, flooded back. Now, the Straw Hats knew everything.

Kaido, the strongest creature in the world, had never felt so humiliated.

Capítulo 277: Chapter 276

"Bastard, I'll kill you!!" Kaido roared, his voice shaking the very air around them, his rage boiling over into a hysterical frenzy. The humiliation was unbearable. He had been defeated, not just physically but socially, utterly shamed.

But his anger, in this moment, was pointless.

Logan smirked, his face calm and confident. "If you really had the power to kill us, would you still be lying here like this?"

With that, Logan casually stepped on Kaido's mouth, forcing the Emperor to recognize the sheer difference in their positions. "Let's make a deal," Logan continued, his tone almost casual.

Kaido's pride was wounded, but his survival instincts kicked in. He was well aware that the hell chains' constant burn on his soul rendered him unable to recover his strength. He was trapped. His mind raced through the options—if the Straw Hat Pirates wanted him dead, they would've done it already.

"What kind of exchange?" Kaido growled, the weight of his situation beginning to sink in.

Logan leaned down, his voice low but clear. "You give us access to the Poneglyph and let us make a copy. In return, we keep your... embarrassment here a secret. Otherwise, I can guarantee that Big News Morgans will have this all over the world tomorrow. Just think—your reputation shattered."

The reality of Logan's words hit Kaido like a punch to the gut. He could picture the headlines already—his dignity gone, mocked by pirates, broadcasted for all to see.

"That Morgans guy... how dare he!" Kaido rumbled in fury, gritting his teeth.

Logan's grin widened. "Oh? Is there anything Morgans wouldn't dare to report?" he teased. Morgans was known for exposing the darkest secrets of even the most powerful figures. He thrived on scandal and wasn't easily intimidated by strength. The World Government, the Marines, even the Four Emperors—none were safe from Morgans' thirst for sensational news.

Kaido's eyes flashed with helpless realization. Of course Morgans would spread it. It didn't matter how powerful Kaido was—Morgans didn't need to fight him. He'd simply stay out of reach, and the world would know Kaido's shame.

Defeated in more ways than one, Kaido sighed. "Okay, fine. If you keep quiet about this, I'll show you the Poneglyph."

Logan chuckled softly. "See? That wasn't so hard." With a simple flick of his wrist, the hell chains binding Kaido were loosened, and Brook followed suit, removing his own hellfire chains.

Kaido groaned as he stood up, his strength slowly returning without the constant soul-burning restraint. The Emperor of the Beasts was still recovering, but he knew better than to try anything now.

Under Kaido's guidance, the Straw Hat Pirates followed him to the second floor of the Skull Dome's basement, where they found a Poneglyph. However, it wasn't the Road Poneglyph they were after. Nico Robin, ever diligent, crossed her arms and summoned a multitude of limbs to swiftly make a copy of the Poneglyph for later translation.

"Where's the Road Poneglyph?" Logan demanded after Robin finished copying the first one.

Kaido hesitated but realized there was no point in holding back now. "There is a Poneglyph in Orochi's castle. The other is hidden in a secret cavern beneath o, where Jack found it."

Logan nodded, his mind already working through the logistics of retrieving the second one. He was about to head to Orochi's castle when another thought struck him.

Even though this timeline was two years ahead of the original story, the Straw Hat Pirates were now in Wano. If they left Wano in the hands of Kaido and Orochi, there would be no resistance left when Momonosuke and his supporters returned. Wano would be in even worse shape than before, and without Luffy's intervention, the Kozuki family would have no hope of reclaiming their land.

Logan turned back to Kaido, his voice firm. "Release Yamato. Then, take your people and leave Wano. Never come back."

Kaido's eyes widened in shock. "What?!"

His anger flared again, but this time Logan's companions immediately sprang into action. Bam! Before Kaido could react, the Straw Hat Pirates were upon him, beating him into submission once more. He was black and blue all over, bound tightly again with hell chains.

"Why do you need to ask?" Logan said coolly, stepping on Kaido's head again. "As the victors, we—the Straw Hat Pirates—will claim this land."

This was the second time Logan had humiliated Kaido in such a way, but this time, Kaido didn't even have the strength to fight back. He wanted to resist, but his body wouldn't allow it. The overwhelming pain and exhaustion left him powerless, unable to even end his own life.

"Fine! I admit defeat! I'll leave!" Kaido finally groaned, his voice filled with reluctant resignation.

Although Wano had been his prized territory and Yamato was his "son," Kaido knew he had no leverage left. The Straw Hat Pirates were too strong, and he had no other options. His only hope now was to survive and retreat.

Logan, watching Kaido carefully, didn't feel an ounce of sympathy. He wasn't sparing Kaido out of mercy—it was a strategic decision. If Kaido died now, the World Government and Marines would shift all their focus to the Straw Hat Pirates, making them the world's number one priority. Letting Kaido live meant that the government still had bigger threats to worry about.

In the end, Kaido's life was something Logan could take whenever he wished.

While Kaido and his forces prepared to withdraw from Wano, the Straw Hat Pirates brought Yamato along as they made their way toward the Flower Capital.

On the road, the group stumbled upon a pair of geishas—Kisegawa and Some—being harassed by Orochi's men. With lightning speed, Sanji intervened, taking down the thugs in an instant and saving the geishas.

"Thank you so much!" Kisegawa and Some said, bowing to Sanji and the crew. It was through them that the Straw Hats learned the true extent of the suffering that Orochi had brought upon the people of Wano.

The Straw Hats listened carefully, their expressions darkening with each detail.

"Are people here really having such a hard time?"

"This Orochi deserves to die!"

"Yeah! That guy's rotten to the core!"

"Kozuki Sukiyaki must have been blind not to see Orochi for what he was!"

Their anger burned as they continued on their journey toward Orochi's castle.

"But even if we kill Orochi, won't Wano be leaderless? The country could fall into chaos," Nami pointed out thoughtfully.

Yamato sighed heavily. "It's a pity that there are no more Kozuki left in Wano. If there were, I would gladly support them as the new shogun."

Hearing this, Logan's eyes lit up with a new idea. He turned to Yamato, raising an eyebrow. "So... if a member of the Kozuki family were still alive, you'd be willing to assist them?"

Yamato puffed out her chest proudly. "Of course! I'm Kozuki Oden! I'd help my son or daughter take the role of shogun!"

Logan smiled knowingly. "Well then... I'll take you to meet a Kozuki. In fact, her name is Hiyori."

"What?!" Yamato's eyes widened in shock. The rest of the crew froze in disbelief.

"You know where Hiyori is?!" the Straw Hats exclaimed, stunned by this sudden revelation.
