30.86% Mafia Boss: I Dominate With My Fighting Skills / Chapter 25: Cold Shower

Capítulo 25: Cold Shower

As everyone's attention turned to me, I said, "Um, yeah, my dad is Aiden Maxwell, the Boss of the Maxwell Mafia." I explained quickly.

Everyone looked surprised, except Emily, of course.

The two men who appeared earlier nodded at me. "Young Master, we're both Pioneers from the Mafia," one of them said.

They suggested we all leave, given the situation.

Ruby piped up, "Can I ride back with you?"

Jared's jaw tightened, but he quickly put on a smirk. "Sure, Ruby, go ahead. I'll find my own ride back," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"I can come too, right? There's space," Ashley said, eyeing the car.

"Okay, Anna and Jared can drive back together," I suggested. "They might hit it off," I added with a grin.

"Okay, Anna and I can drive back together," Jared said suddenly.

Anna didn't object and she glanced at Jared with a hint of interest. Maybe there was something between them already, I mused. I wouldn't be surprised, because Jared invited her in the first place.

Ruby looked at Jared with narrowed eyes.

It seemed like Jared was trying to make a point, showing that he could get any woman he wanted, but it seemed a bit childish to me.

While Ashley folded her tent and put her things in the back of my truck, I took the chance to talk to the two Mafia members.

Their crimson-tinted hair marked them as high-ranking individuals. Their hair was even a deeper shade of crimson than Rick's.

I gravitated towards the shorter one.

"Why did you guys call my father Don, not Boss?" I asked.

The man looked at me calmly, "It's more of a global way to address the Mafia leader; personally, we call him Boss," he explained.

The question burning in my mind spilled out next. "What's the deal with those Anarchists that Jester mentioned?"

He let out a weary sigh before responding, "We've been dealing with them too. Just today, there was a terrorist attack. Everyone calls them Anarchists because they refuse to listen to anyone. They claim they want freedom from Mafia rule, especially from Knox and Ravens, but it's all nonsense. They just want power for themselves."

"Is it that serious?"

"Not yet, but it's concerning. Lately, there have been some stronger individuals deserting to join them. Honestly, I don't know what they're offering them to abandon the Mafia's like this."

As Ashley neared with the last of her belongings, I seized the chance to ask further.

"Do you think I could help somehow?"

He scrutinized me for a moment before responding, "I'm not sure how advanced you are in your training. Have you even used Kainen?"

"I've dabbled in it."

"Well... I suppose it's a bit different for you. You're under Rick's guidance, right? Ask him," he suggested.

With that, I walked to the truck and settled into the driver's seat, with the three girls joining me. Emily took the front seat, while Ruby and Ashley sat in the back.

As we drove, I asked each girl where she lived so I could safely drop them off. They quickly texted me their addresses.

During the ride, Ashley and Ruby couldn't help but ask questions about what it was like to be the son of a Mafia Boss.

My memories of my father were completely different from who he seemed to have become in this world.

"Well... I haven't even met him." I said.

They reacted strangely to that.

"Not since I lost some of my memories." I explained.

""Right,"" they said simultaneously.

"But I do have house for myself and even a maid."

That made them narrow their eyes and give me a suspicious, naughty look.

"It's not like that..."

Shifting the conversation, I mentioned how Emily and I trained together at the Maxwell Skyscraper. They weren't particularly interested in training like that.

"How do you two keep in shape then?" I asked, curious.

"I like doing yoga." Ruby spoke up, while Ashley added, "I play tennis."

Soon, we reached each of their apartments, and after dropping them off, I headed back to my place, ready to call it a night.

As I stepped inside, Susan was busy sweeping the floor. "Good evening, Graham. Hard day?" she greeted me.

I shook my head. "No, not really, just a bit busy,"

"Let me help you. What needs cleaning?" I offered.

Susan seemed slightly taken aback by my offer, but she quickly told me what needed to be done. Together, we tackled the tasks, and an hour later, I collapsed onto my bed and drifted off to sleep.

...

Sunday morning rolled around, and I headed out for my training session. Endurance was the focus today, so I started with intervals and an easy run to get my heart pumping.

Back at the gym, I hit the weights, doing some heavy squats and hammer curls to build strength.

Then it was back to the ring for some sparring.

I was paired up with a guy who was clearly less skilled than Jack, so I felt like I was in control.

My punches landed solidly, and I managed to dodge most of his strikes with ease.

It was a confidence boost to dominate the ring like that.

Later on, Emily showed up for her own training session, and we ended up sparring against each other.

And... ym... she was quite fast. Surprisingly, she managed to land some hits on me. Of course, I was already exhausted from all the training, and she was fresh.

And I wasn't really trying...

That must be it.

I made my way out of the ring and headed straight for the cold bath. The icy water was a shock to my system, but I welcomed it, hoping it would help with the soreness.

I was waiting for Rick to arrive. I wanted to ask him something; I wanted to help with the terrorists, but it seemed he was a no-show today.

After spending some time in the cold water, I climbed out and changed into my casual clothes, settling down to wait for Emily.

As I sat there, a familiar face showed up - Leader Damien himself. I rose to my feet and approached him.

"Good Afternoon." I greeted.

Leader Damien placed his palm on my arm, his touch heavy. "Graham..." he began, his voice strained.

"What's wrong?"

"I will be training you exclusively from today, Graham," he announced, his voice tinged with regret.

"Why? What about Rick?" I questioned, a sinking feeling settling in my chest.

"Pioneer Rick..." Leader Damien trailed off, his eyes squeezing shut briefly. "Pioneer Rick died in yesterday's terrorist attack." He struggled to get the words out.

My hands just hung limply at my sides. I swallowed hard, trying to process the news.

"Um... I... how exactly did he die?"
