Capítulo 3: Wandering through the forest

After resting, Mu Yue's feet have already recovered. She decided to climb out of the hole. It took some time for her to get out of it. She looks at the sky and saw that the sun is near its peak.

"Growl~~"

'First, I have to look for edible food and water while maintaining vigilance. Gather enough to last for this day. Second, find a cave or a hidden area to spend the night. I should also try to look for roads while wandering.'

Mu Yue continued walking through the forest to look for food. She mostly looked for fruits as she doesn't have anything to cook the other food she may find. Most of the fruits she saw were unknown to her however she does know some, and when she knew that the fruit is safe and edible, she will pluck it out.

Mu Yue found a small water stream. Although small, it is enough for her to drink. She then followed the stream of water until she sees a lake. However, before she was able to go near the lake. She heard the roar of the beasts and quickly hide behind the bushes.

Two beasts are seen fighting each other. A tiger and a rhino are fighting. The tiger has the advantage due to it being more agile than the rhino. It could be seen that the rhino looked tired and its movements have slowed down. Despite the lack of a fatal wound, the countless amount of minor wounds that the rhino received made it weak and the beast constantly lose its blood due to the bleeding.

This was the first time Mu Yue saw such large beasts. The largest beast she saw were only those rabbits whose height don't even reach her knees. She calmly observed the surroundings and waited until the rhino ran away being followed by the tiger.

Mu Yue walked to the lake and found quite the secluded spot. She looked around for any potential danger, and quickly stripped and went to the lake. She quickly took a simple bath, cleaning the scratches she received, and wore her dirty clothes. After cleaning her wounds, she continued looking for a place to stay.

While walking, she surprisingly walked to where the rhino fell and seen the tiger eating it. She retraced her steps intending to go back and walk another path when she accidentally stepped on a dry branch.

"crunch~"

She hid behind a tree where she cannot be seen by the tiger and tried to lower the sound of her breathing. The tiger quickly looks at the area where the sound came from. The tiger roared loud and Mu Yue couldn't help but be nervous, afraid that the tiger will find her. The tiger, after roaring, just went back to eating the rhino.

(Tiger beasts are known to rely on their sense of sight and hearing. In this scene, the tiger roared to shock the other prey to move. If it hears or seen any movements, it will come closer. However, due to Mu Yue hiding behind the tree and controlling her breath, she was not noticed by the tiger.)

After a while of not hearing anything walking nearby, Mu Yue took a peek and saw the tiger eating the rhino again.

'Thankfully, the tiger didn't see me. If it decided to chase me, I doubt I can escape from it.'

Recovering from her nervousness, Mu Yue continued tracing back her steps, this time, looking at her feet. Choosing another path, she walks away from the area, foraging along the way.

'The sun has gone past its peak for a while now... I should quickly find an area to stay in. Grandma told me that it's dangerous in the forest at night.'

After walking for quite some time, she found a cave covered by plants. If she had not found the cave by this time, she might have walked past it. She observed the surroundings checking if there are beasts nearby and quietly entered the cave. Exploring inside the cave, she found out that there are no signs of the cave being inhabited by beasts and reached its dead end.

'Finally, I can rest....'

As soon as her body touched the ground. She quickly fell asleep.
