Capítulo 4: Invitation and Test
Sun Jing was taken aback by the sudden appearance of the lady before him. Her ability to materialize out of nowhere left him both confused and surprised. "Invited to?" he questioned, struggling to make sense of the situation.
"To the other world. We have heard your wishes, Master Sun. Therefore, I am here to extend an invitation," the lady replied in a dulcet tone. Sun Jing smiled and politely declined her offer. However, the lady explained that he must take a test before making a final decision. "Sorry Master Sun, we have arranged a test for you. After you have passed the test, you may decline, and we will respect your decision. If you fail the test, then you will lose the chance to find your answer," she explained, still using her sweet voice.
Sun Jing felt bewildered by her words. He couldn't believe that he was being tested after being approached with such a peculiar proposition. "Sorry master Sun, we do not have time for you to consider much longer, the bus is here. Wear these glasses before you board the bus, Master Sun. All the best for your test," the lady instructed, handing him a pair of sunglasses.
Sun Jing was anticipating an unfamiliar bus to arrive when the lady mentioned it, only to find that it was the same old bus he took every day. This sudden realization left him feeling perplexed and bewildered. Sun Jing looked at the glasses, thinking they might be some kind of virtual reality gaming device. As Sun Jing donned the glasses, a video interface appeared before him, reminiscent of a video game. The video interface that appeared upon wearing the glasses displayed Sun Jing's name, along with his level, which was currently at zero. Furthermore, the interface indicated that his job was that of a civilian.
As Sun Jing boarded the bus, he noticed the game system screen pop up again, directing him to sit in a specific seat at the back of the bus. As he walked towards the rear, Sun Jing notice the bus is more crowded than usual, with many other passengers on board and he noticed the presence of a middle-aged man with glasses occupying the adjacent seat. Sun Jing greeted him, and the man nodded in acknowledgement. After ten minutes had passed with no further activity, Sun Jing began to wonder about the nature of the test. Suddenly, the game system screen reappeared with the message, "It is here!" A crash shook the bus as an object plummeted through the roof, landing in the middle of the vehicle. Thankfully, no one appeared to be injured. As Sun Jing glanced around, attempting to discern the cause of the commotion, he realized that everyone was looking at him expectantly.
