Capítulo 50: Chapter 50: Closer Now

Since the disagreement with Lin JinYan was resolved, Su Ning noted that the former became especially clingy, like sticky rice. In the past three months, he has been staying at Su Ning's apartment and has taken over Gu YuChen's room, to Gu YuChen's utter dismay.

After recovering from his cold, Lin JinYan had arrived in front of Su Ning's doorstep unannounced with several luggages in tow. Assistant Mu stood behind Lin JinYan wringing his fingers anxiously.

**doorbell ringing**

"Erm, JinYan-ge, hi? Whatcha got there?" Su Ning asked as she opened the door of the apartment.

"NingNing! Your gege has come to live with you," Lin JinYan answered with a huge smile as he motioned for Assistant Mu to bring the luggages into the living room..

"Yes...You...what?!" Su Ning exclaimed, looking appalled.

As if he didnt notice Su Ning's stunned expression, Lin JinYan just strode over and gave her a big hug.

"NingNing, I wasn't able to see you for several days. I've missed you already," Lin JinYan said without letting go of Su Ning.

"Ai! Alright. JinYan-ge too tight! Can't breathe," Su Ning said as she tried to wriggle out of his arms. Assistant Mu who had witnessed this scene had to use his hands to physically close his wide open mouth. 'Since when was Young Master Lin this openly affectionate? It's always amazing how he becomes a completely different person around Miss Su. If he could treat me with even a tenth of the consideration he has for Miss Su, how peaceful my job will be.' mourned the ever suffering assistant.

When Lin JinYan finally released Su Ning from his embrace, he received a light smack to the chest. "Ya! That was too long," she complained, pulling his hand to lead him towards the couch.

"Really? I thought it wasn't enough though? I didn't get to hug you the week you weren't speaking to me and then I was sick for another 3 days after. So we have to make up for 10 days worth of hugs." Lin JinYan said matter of factly as he played with Su Ning's hair.

"Somehow… I get the feeling that I am being blamed for those 10 days. And nobody rolls over hugs like that, this is not arithmetic," Su Ning said, eyeing Lin JinYan with narrowed eyes.

"Anyways, that's not the issue right now. What do you mean you are living here with me?" Su Ning asked.

"Silly NingNing. It means exactly that. I'm moving in with you." Lin JinYan said with a broad smile.

"But, but, why? Also, did your family agree to this?" (Su Ning)

"Hmm. Well they really couldn't care less where I live." (Lin JinYan)

Su Ning looked at Assistant Mu for confirmation but the latter just kept a poker face.

"This… this isn't my apartment you know. It's Gu YuChen's." (Su Ning)

"En. I've informed him as well." (Lin JinYan)

"Eh!? How come only I didn't know?" (Su Ning)

"Now, I can eat NingNing's cooking everyday." (Lin JinYan)

"Well, I. I don't really cook everyday. Sometimes I would eat leftovers for dinner," Su Ning reasoned while shooting Assistant Mu a pleading glance. The traitor responded by saying that he can deliver home cooked dishes from the Lin Mansion or have an auntie come over to do the cooking as well.

To be quite honest, Su Ning was very comfortable with Lin JinYan always coming over at the apartment, but living here was another matter since it was not her place to begin with. But if the owner himself had agreed to let Lin JinYan stay and an auntie will even help with cooking, I guess it should be alright?

"We can also practice our lines together," Lin JinYan said with a cajoling tone.

"..." Su Ning rolled her eyes at the young man who was currently braiding her hair.

"Also, I'm graduating this year and I'd like to spend as much time as I can with NingNing," Lin JinYan continued with an endearing smile.

"Okay. Okay. You should get yourself settled in YuChen-ge's room then," Su Ning finally conceded with a shake of her head. 'This kid really knows how to use the 'beauty trap' to his advantage. He's going to make a lot of girls cry when he graduates from M Academy.'

Upon receiving Su Ning's approval, Lin JinYan gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and motioned for Assistant Mu to have Gu YuChen's room sanitized before having his clothes unpacked. In fact, the reason why Lin JinYan was being so brazenly shameless was that he had gotten wind that Lin Feng had become interested in Su Ning. The latter's secretary had reached out to Su Ning a couple of times and the young girl was quickly running out of excuses to avoid meeting his brother. Lin JinYan would never allow Su Ning to be used as a pawn in the family succession. From the beginning, he had no interest in XIIN Entertainment which is why he chose to publicize his intent to join show business. But it appears Lin Feng still wanted to use Su Ning as leverage on Lin JinYan.

For now, Lin JinYan can just protect Su Ning by sticking close to her but after his graduation, Su Ning has another year left in M Academy. He still needs to figure that part out. After sending Gu YuChen a text, Lin JinYan leaned his head on Su Ning's as she played on her phone.

The girl only gave a sigh and patted Lin JinYan's head before responding to a text from Qing Mei.

[NingNing_Star]: Sure. What do you have in mind? (^･ｪ･^)

"JinYan-ge, I'm hanging out with a friend this Saturday. Okay~" Su Ning informed the boy laying on the couch with his eyes closed. Somehow she felt that they were even closer now after that fight. Lin JinYan is also definitely completely at ease with giving affection, in fact he is sometimes too affectionate.

"Girl or Boy?" Lin JinYan opened his eyes and gave Su Ning a serious look.

"Girl…silly. She's a classmate." Su Ning answers with an eye roll.

"Oh, have fun." Lin JinYan said, enjoying the feel of Su Nings fingers stroking his hair.
