Yu Jingchen gave her a warning glance. "Be careful not to break it."
An Ning pursed her lips, expressing her helplessness and annoyance. "So what should I do next? What do I say when I go back?"
Yu Jingchen still had an expression that suggested the situation was none of his concern.
"If I can't explain this properly, I might really not be able to continue training here," said An Ning with a particularly 'heartbroken' tone. "Or maybe I should just tell the captain now that I'll go home."
Yu Jingchen snorted coldly, his icy gaze laced with playful indulgence. "You've also learned to threaten me?"
An Ning blinked, continuing her act. "How would I dare threaten you? You're somebody great, and I'm nobody. It would be a matter of mere seconds for you to snuff me out."
"Hmm, good that you know," finally, a smile appeared on Yu Jingchen's face, exceptionally gracious as he said, "You just go back and say that the old lady has dementia, she mistook you for her granddaughter."
