Capítulo 164: Lady Benson

"I am sorry about your father's passing, dear." The baroness presses her lips together in compassion.

"Thank you, Lady Benson. You are too kind." Dusty smiles at her.

"So what is the situation with the East?" Aaric Benson asks his son. Not the one who works directly with the king and who knows every little detail about the war, but he asks his younger son.

He has never forgiven Shelby for giving up on being his heir in order to be the crown prince's assistant. Shelby doubts his relationship with his father will ever go back to how it used to be.

Now, his father only talks to him when he wants to belittle him, compare him to his perfect little brother, or remind him of every mistake he has made in his life.

"We are going to crush those weaklings." Karl says with a shrug. "They are not even a threat to us." He adds.

Dusty and Shelby share a look. Siv's powers are definitely a threat. Neither of them say anything, though.
