"Yeah… long time no see."

Dinaia answered slowly as she checked the place for anyone else. She turned back to meet the eyes of Daemon smiling at her antics, and she snapped at him:

"What are you doing here? Does Evelyn know about your presence?" She didn't wait, and provided the answer to the second question on her own: "No, she must know. That's why she changed our meeting place."

She returned her attention to the dark-haired man. The latter had resumed dishwashing as if he owned the place, and felt her anger rise by another level as stomped her foot:

"What are you doing here, Damien? I'm warning you-"

"Alright, enough already. Is this how you treat your old crush?"

Dinaia gritted her teeth at the nonchalance on full display.

"I stopped having a crush on you long ago when you got together with Evelyn, and I killed any remnant of feeling after what you did six years ago."
