Capítulo 42: 042 - From the ashes

Daemon wandered back into the city without any destination in mind. Not quite like a zombie, not truly lost, but with a need to straighten his mind.

A few hours later, he sat in a dim corner of a private room in a bar. The decorations and furniture were tasteful. A fake fireplace was at the side, and the other parts of the room were illuminated by a calm level of lighting.

He had the photo he took with his late comrades in his hand, lost in thought as he fixed his gaze on the smiling faces.

Almost six years prior, on a transport plane in the air somewhere, Daemon sat in the hold, decked for battle. His eyes were closed, unlike his teammates who were dealing with their excess of energy. Or they might just be nervous for their first mission.

"I feel bad that we will have to destroy this pleasure boat later."
