"You know you're not supposed to put those together, right?" I asked as I saw Courtney was packing her pointy shoes with her makeup stuff. She stared at her suitcase and groaned loudly.

"I don't know what I'm doing okay! I'm a total mess." I couldn't help but sigh.

"What's the matter? Aren't you excited?"

"Well, I always thought I'd be going with…"

"Don't you dare say his name. Court, it's been a month since you finally realised the scumbag your ex is. And you're still crying over him?"

"I'm not crying, I'm brooding. And don't complain about me! What about the time when you and…." I gave her a look and she corrected herself,

"Well, it took you three months to get over him a little. Mine has only been a month!"
