Capítulo 129: identity revealed

Alice's surprise call came in as I sat behind the dresser, applying red lipstick to my lips. I was getting ready to go hang out with AJ at his gentleman club.

I was home alone. Kayden was with our mom at her new apartment.

I glanced at my phone screen as it keeps ringing. I am too shunned to pick it up.

I am not ready to speak with her. Our last fight got my heart broken so badly. I can't stand another heartbreaking fight with her.

My phone continues to ring as I put on my makeup.

I gave up, placing the makeup brush down, and pick up the call "Hello." My voice sounds meek.

"April," Alice says at the other end of the call.

"How are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm f-fine." I stuttered.

"Hope you are fine too," I say, knowing she is not.

I heard her take a breath. "I am."

"I am sorry for hurting you. I hate myself for doing this to you." I guiltily say.
