Capítulo 11: 11) Classes and Agreement (2).....
It didn't take him long to reach the great hall but instead of going to his table he walked to the Gryffindor table stopping next to the redhead he was looking for, "Bill Weasley?"
The young man turned around with his friends also looking Iann over but he ignored the stares, "Yes, can I help you?"
"Well I was wondering if I could have a word in private with you? Don't worry it won't take to long." Iann said with a friendly smile while also waving at Sammy and Lina who were looking at him from down the table.
"Sure mate." Bill said standing up and following him out the great hall, they didn't go far and just stood around the corner, "So what can I help you with?" he asked a good nature smile on his face.
Iann actually didn't know much about him other than him being a cruse breaker and marrying Fleur Delacour, "Well this is the thing I want to pay you ten gallons a week to help me study Runes in your free time."
Bill looked at him weirdly, "Why would you ask me this? Aren't there books and Professor's who can help you?"
Iann figured he would say that and he himself knew he should have used those but it is different, even with the ROR he would need someone's help. "Well that's the thing books can only give theoretical knowledge while Professors would limit me until my third year when I can actually take the class." He said, he wasn't stupid he just knew there wasn't a teacher who would actually teach him when he came to ask them.
Bill looked him over before hesitating, the offer was good but he was in his last year which meant he had N.E.W.T.s, "Well you see I want to but...."
"Let me guess N.E.W.T.s?" Iann asked seeing him nod, "That's the thing I will only need your help Sunday's until the end of the year, holiday's off since I will be going home. We only need to meet for two hours that day at most other than that I won't bother you, how does that sound?"
Bill was surprised it was easy money and seeing as his family didn't have much of that then it was a good chance to help him buy some things he would need after school. He thought it through looking at the first year Puff who was offering it, "Make it twenty and you have a deal." He said seeing if he could push it further.
Of course Iann didn't mind his family had more Galleons then they knew what to do with, his dad's job as a doctor and his mom being CEO made their bank account grow. They had even given him two thousand of his own for emergencies which was just wasting away in his pocket, so he could spend what he wanted.
Plus with the length of the school year minus breaks he was giving out only three hundred Galleons, so he had seventeen hundred left. "That should be fine we are out two weeks Christmas and one week for Easter that is just used for studying, but since that Easter week will help when you are going to take N.E.W.Ts we also will forget that one. So the total is three hundred do you want that now or later?"
(Guys I might have messed up with this one it should be 10x4x9=360 but minus 60 for the three Sunday's they won't meet so it should be right)
Bill had his mouth hanging open not knowing what to say he couldn't believe this was happening but knew that he would also have to follow through on his part if he helped. Sighing he nodded, "I will take the twenty each time we meet, if I take it all at once then I fear I might just run off with it. I am kind of forgetful at times."
Iann paused a moment thinking maybe they should just take a vow then he just shrugged thinking it was a good idea, "Well then let's make a unbreakable vow, it will be simple and so that both parties agree to it okay?" Getting a nod in return he held up his wand, "Alright wait here."
Iann ran back to the great hall and without even explaining anything dragged Dora by the arm even with her mouth full of food, she glared but followed along. Getting back to Bill they started it after clasping right hands the vow went. "Will you, William, to the best of your abilities teach me all you knw about Runes?"
"I will." he said. "Will you.... Wait what was you name again?" they both realized Iann hadn't introduced himself yet.
"Ahh sorry about that names Iann Edwards pleasure to meet you." Iann said with an embarrassed smile his hair going red, Dora covered her mouth to mask her laugh earning a glare from him.
"Will you, Iann pay the agreed upon amount of Twenty Galleons for each tutoring time?" Bill continued.
"I will." Iann said.
"As witness to this vow, I Nymphadora Tonks, let it stand." She said casting a Lumos spell, to prove she was a witness to their agreement.
Their hands which had a yellow and red magic string flowing through their hands burned them a little enough for them to feel it before it simmered down. It a little extreme for both of them to make the vow but it was something that wouldn't last anyway so they didn't really worry about the threat of death.
Bill smiled and walked back to the great hall while Dora looked at him and smiled, "You know, it is going to cost you big or I am telling your mother that you just made a vow that could kill her precious son." She already pulled out her phone ready to make the call if he didn't give her something good.
Iann gulped, "Okay well in my pouch back at my dorm I have precooked meals more than twenty all made myself, how does that sound?" he said a little pale he didn't think about it before grabbing her just knowing she would help him but if his mother found out she would come here herself and kill him. Luckily Dora was a glutton.
She was already drooling a little and nodding her head, she dragged him back to the common room not even letting him have lunch she wanted her food then and there. Iann could only sigh and let himself be pulled along.
After an eventful lunch Iann met back with Cedric, Lina and Sammy who was kind enough to bring him a sandwich noticing he didn't get to eat lunch. Next was there last class of the day one he was actually dreading seeing as it was DADA and there was a never a good teacher in that spot other than maybe year 3 and 4 of harry potter even if one was a murder.
Getting to the class he walked in to find a young woman who was in her twenties standing there waiting for the class to fill in. She was a beautiful woman with pale light skin, blue eyes and long red hair, she was stunning and if Iann wasn't eleven going on twelve then he would have tried to talk her up.
Settling she scanned the room she had a wild look about her with a playful grin but her eyes were extremely calculating, since he hardly looked at the Professor's table he didn't remember seeing her. "Hello class I am Professor Rakepick, well I wont be like most of your former teachers who go on and on about rules and safety I'm more hands on. So today after my explanation we will start working on a defense immediately, I want you all to avoid my attacks then fire back something that you know."
She then went on talking about safety, Iann was actually excited and he could see that everyone else was the same, since it was the first day they didn't get to learn all they could so most people were happy. After a long explanation, she lead them to the empty room next door so they could practice.
"Alright one at a time come up onto the stage and show me what you got, when you are finished sit and wait for the rest of us." Professor Rakepick said going up on to a duelling platform.
Iann lined up like the res the was third in line right behind Cedric it was a Slytherin girl who got to go first, though she was arrogant that quickly went away when she was sent in the air. The class laughed before Cedric went up there him doing no better, she taught each of them the proper duelling stance before starting.
When it was Iann's turn he stood up there nervous at first before he calmed down, they stood ten feet apart without warning she shouted lightly, "Flipendo!" shooting the jinx at him. Iann had seen the it coming he didn't no the proper way to counter with intent with his wand, "Finite!" he said quickly which was a general counter curse.
He moved back while doing it but seeing as he didn't have enough power behind it all it did was slow hers down before he was sent in the air, less that than the others but still flying. Professor Rakepick looked mildly impressed seeing as he had the forethought to move back while the others stood there or tried to lean out of the way.
Looking at the ceiling for a moment he caught his breath before getting up nodding to her and moving to go sit next to Cedric who was grinning, it was fun watching others get sent in the air. The Slytherin girl sent him a look he couldn't read before focusing back on the stage.
If he was anyone else in this situation Iann would have studied harder and been a top student already showing off but he felt bored doing that, he already had a lot of power. What was the point of being gifted and talented only to hide yourself until the enemies come out then find out you still have to struggle over something.
Iann couldn't say that he could kill Voldemort at the moment even using his word magic but he knew that if he studied hard enough he could get there. Though at the same time he also needed experience just knowing what to do wouldn't help anyone out.
He was going to enjoy his life if problems came his way he would handle them but if not then he was going to ignore it, they weren't his problems in the first place. He would help Harry though but only in small matters the rest of the time his real goal other than finding new things, which he hasn't done, is bring the wizarding world up a notch.
