Capítulo 41: Crisis II: Shadows of the Past
Feeling a wet and sticky sensation on his palm, Sasuke brought his hand into view only to see blood- an arrow lodged deep into her back.
"Fuck!!"
He cursed out in panic, but the next moment, several objects were flung into the restaurants which Sasuke instantly recognised.
Detonators!
Without hesitation, he grabbed her body in a bridal carry, and zoomed out of the restaurant, before the detonators went off.
*BOOOM!*
Due to the sudden chaos, most of the civilians quickly rushed out in fear and panic. Those who were not able to make it out on time, were blown up along with the entirety of the building. Women, men and children, dozens killed in a single instant.
Sasuke however did not even bat an eye back at the destruction and zoomed off with Mina in his arms.
Behind him, multiple shadowy figures tailed him, moving with incredible speed as well.
*SWOOSH!!*
Multiple projectiles ripped towards him from behind, but his three tomoe Sharingan was active, and he weaved through them easily with his superior speed, and pseudo precognitive abilities of his Sharingan even with his back turned to them.
Forming a hand sign, a clone suddenly split off and zoomed off into the distance, before his main body poofed into smoke and was replaced by a wooden log.
The assailants were confused and chased after the clone, but failed to notice the real Sasuke who had camouflaged himself running atop a tall building.
Placing her cold body on the ground, Sasuke heaved a sigh of relief after realising that she still had a pulse. The arrow lodged into her back had missed her vital organs, but she had still lost a lot of blood and could die.
Yanking out the arrow, he placed his palms together and closed his eyes. He thanked his lucky stars that he was at least an amateur in the Hundred Healings medical ninjustu. After a few seconds, he separated his palms and placed them on her back and watched as the cool energy flowed onto her wound and into her body, repairing everything in its wake.
In a couple of seconds, she was fully healed and Sasuke heaved a relieved sigh.
Taking off his leather jacket, he covered her body, and then used the camouflage Jutsu to turn her invisible. With one last look at her, he sighed and took off, transforming into purple bolts of lightning that zipped into the distance...

Meanwhile, the pursuers continued chasing after the blurry and shadowy figure that led them through alleyways until it finally halted on a highway, surrounded by lush forests far from residential area.
Dressed in all black apparels and masks like ninjas, the assailants held onto short sharp tantos and slowly surrounded the shadowy figure whose face was obscured by the night's darkness.
They got into some type of formation, slowly encircling the shadowy figure from all sides, until there was no room left for escape. However, much to their dismay, the figure did not even flinch at the sight of their formation.
It wasn't until they decided to attack that they sensed the raging cursed energy within the figure's body, but they were too late and too close.
*BOOOOM!*
Raging lightning bolts tore into almost everything around them, destroying everything in its wake. Those are the forefront of the formation were instantly incinerated by the destructive bolts of lightning, but those behind lived with injuries.
"Incoming!!!"
One of them called out, despite the severe pain he felt from the injuries that plagued his body from the explosion of electric currents, when he sensed another ghost like figure moving through the forest and blinding speed.
He tried his very best to muster his cursed energy and unleash an attack, but before he could even put his plan into full action, he felt his world turn upside down.
Those around him looked out in horror. The only thing they had noticed was a purple streak of lightning flash past their friend and just like that, his head has been clearly severed from his neck, as his corpse slowly slumped to the ground in a pool of blood.
Even them, the protectors of the Zen'in clan, powerful sorcerers, felt their blood run cold at such a sight.
The purple lightning streak flashed atop several trees and slowly landed on one large branch, before revealing itself to be a familiar face.
"What?!!"
They exclaimed in shock and fear, as they watched the bloodied Sasuke glare towards them from above, his eyes like two ruby red demonic whirlpools that seemed to pull them in. The only difference now was the outfit he wore and that sharp looking guardless tanto he held in reverse grip.
"How generous of the clan to send the royal guard after me.."
Sasuke, now dressed in his normal Shinobi attire, looked towards the bunch of haggard figures that were supposed to be the royal vanguards of the Zen'in clan.
The Kusanagi in hand hummed with bloodthirst, as if recognizing the state of mind it's owner was in, and it shone with a dark gleam.
Taking a deep breath, Sasuke pulled on the cursed energy within his core. Right then and there, streaks of purple lightning covered his entire body and then he moved...
None of the guards had yet to realise what was going on, but in mere seconds, the entire forest went quiet. The sounds of blade slicing reverberated and in a moment it was all over. Multiple heads rolled over, blood pooled and flowed outwards, as the one responsible landed solemnly behind the mountain of corpses with a nonchalant face.
He waved the Kusanagi, whisking off the blood on the blade before sheathing it onto his lower back. However, right as he was about to leave, he turned to a certain part of the forest and then a bloodthirsty smile crawled up to his face.
"Katon: Goryuka no Jutsu --- Fire style: Fire Dragon Jutsu!"
Forming multiple hand seals in the span of less than a second, he puffed out his cheeks and unleashed a massive fire dragon that eviscerated everything in its path, but before the destructive attack could reach its destination, an unsual phenomenon occured right before Sasuke's eyes.
The fire dragon that was blasting towards the target suddenly paused in mid air for a moment, before it blasted back towards him, much to his surprise.
With raised brows, he formed multiple hand seals and then slammed both palms onto the ground, as multiple mud walls arose before him, to block the destructive attack headed towards him.
*BOOOM!*
An explosion shook the forest, yet when the dust settled, Sasuke walked out with not even a scratch on his clothes, as his Sharingan looked towards a certain direction, as his lips slowly curved up into a smile.
"Took you long enough to get here, Arata.. How've you been my dear brother.."
He walked to a large rock beside him and rested his back on it and folded his arms as he spoke and looked on ahead, as a figure came trotting out, dressed in an all black three piece suit.
"To think you've grown to such a point, Sasuke..Consider me impressed.."
The newcomer spoke, his face however devoid of any emotion, but his dark eyes glared into Sasuke's Sharingan fearlessly, as cursed energy bubbled within him.
