Who is able to resist the allure of the cultivation world? The world where individuals can fly on their swords, crush mountains with a wave of the hand, dry up seas with another, and most importantly, have a chance to reach immortality?
Han Lingyun was certainly not planning on refusing the outstretched hand he had been offered. His conviction had only strengthened after the young boy had regained his previous life’s memories as a famous mathematician. The pain of death was still etched deeply in his soul, the futility of a mortal’s body.
But now Han Lingyun had found his hope to satiate his constant thirst for knowledge, his desire to uncover the laws of the world, his fascination for the universe.
Follow Han Lingyun as he embarks on a mythical journey to reach immortality. One step at a time, he leverages his brilliant mind while staying true to his cautious and calculative nature in order to weave his way through the many pitfalls of this unforgiving world.

Escreva uma avaliaçãoI didn't expect to find a book where the author actually explains what qi could be and doesn't use plotarmor in a vague way like cultivation works because of qi and qi is qi. I like how the author thinks and didn't find obvious mistakes in the math and science parts. there are a few minor points that could lead to a strong power creep between the later stages if you consider that core cultivators can already destroy mountains from a distance but it should be fine if he stops the exponential growth he currently has between the stages. sure fighting higher stages should be almost impossible but it shouldn't be 1000 vs 1 that is one stage higher and the one is winning without problems or getting hit. at least after the core stage where everyone knows techniques and has a good amount of qi. but that is just me rambling about things that are hard to balance and would be normally readjusted over time while writing but because it is WN and we read the first version, the author has to think more about thinks like that because it is so hard to rewrite entire scenes or plot points.
Reviewed at chapter 11, Excellent work so far, I always wanted to read a novel of a transmigrated scientist in a cultivation world, and a mathematician is very good too. I am keeping some golden tickets for when it is enabled. The MC has a consistent personality and doesn't stray from his initial goal, 5 stars for character design. We don't know much about the world but I quite like the fact that those in power do their best to sort of brainwash/endoctrinate their people. It seems very realistic and not something we see often put forward in cultivation novel even though it is sort of mandatory for sects to do so. 5 stars world The writing quality is the best you can find on webnovel, I have seen some typo but it very rare (I remember seeing once heeled instead of healed) 5 stars writing quality. Please keep writing, your knowledge of science seems adequate to write this novel, I like that you took time to give some research material to validate your claim in the novel. I won't hesitate to support you when they enable it. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic. Great pace of advancement in the beginning, i hope it will continue and not begin to slow down like some authors. Fantastic writing style and well explored cultivation system. A rare gem. great job author
I really like the story ! Its not the typical cultivation webnovel with young masters and jade Beauties. The cultivation world is good explained no loopholes or op supreme cultivation technique at the start or some op cheat. Perfect mc who isn't stupid and uses his brain and is not walking around and offending everyone. Hope the Author continue this story and doesn't stop the story midway really liked it till now.
here's my review for the first 46 chapters.. Writing quality is pretty good. there are some mistakes here and there. usually it's like a "we're" written as "were" or something similar. For updates.. well i actually binge read these chapters but it seems like there is 2 chapters in a weak release time and for such a good and interesting novel it feels too slow.. personally i would like 1 chapter every day but if author has other things in life so he/she can't do such speed then it's understandable. Story development is good.. it's quite fast, not too fast. there are almost no cliche monents and no useless filler like some novels where a whole chaptee could be just others reactions at mc faceslapping everyone and showing how awesome they are. I like that mc is going towards rune and array dao and not alchemy. I hope there will be specific explanations to how runes work and how they correlate to math and sciense and explanations to what qi is and other things.. Mc is very relatable.. indeed like the synopsis says his actions are more human like.. they are logical and other characters are like that too.. I don't like some characters personalities but there are no very arrogant stupid characters so far, all named characters have character growth.. well some may look pretty dull but maybe there will be more known later about them and their stories. I personally feel like if i was cultivator i would be very similar to mc. Also i hope that there will not be romance.. I know that girl.. was her name yimu.. anyway she has feelings toward mc.. but we have to understand first that they are soon only 11 years old.. they are just kids so no need to create romance at that age, also we have already seen killings which is pretty disturbing when thinking they are 10 year old. But also mc really feels like he should fully focus on cultivation. (array dao is also cultivation) Mc has his big goal to explore the universe and search more knowledge about the universe and cultivation and qi. It is basically the most important plotpoint and kind of also plotarmor that mc will in one way or another become the strongest cultivator.. even if it's his pure talent towards cultivation and comprehension talent or he gains some lucky chances to inheritance or similar etc. And If mc has a wife in the future she would have to have similar talent so she can live forever too or mc would have to reincarnate her.. which would all be too cliche.. All kinds of plots have already been used where mc has a wife who is a daughter of a big clan or something like that. and she has special body and will be taken away from mc in one way or another. also to have a wife constantly in the story being basically main character too wouldn't really fit this story. so.. whew.. in conclusion rather have friends but no romance and have mc going towards the peak of cultivation and let us follow as he explores and does research to runes and arrays and qi. For the world building.. we don't know much.. i like that it's not just the basic lower world, middle world and upper world type but actual universe and they live in a planet.. I guess we have to wait till he is 16 until the continental tournament arc to know more about the world. i guess there will be time skip before that because it took 46 chapters for 11 months from the beginning of the novel.. which isn't slow but if we think that about 50 chapters is 1 year then we have to wait for a very long time. If you have read all of my review then congrats 🥳 that was 3560letters/characters
Revelar Spoiler5 stars. My impression for now is very good. This book is a refreshing and original take on the martial arts genre. I really like the sense of realism I get fromthe plot. I like how the main character focuses on increasing his odds of surviving and doesn't necessarily chose the path expected from a main character. The pace so far is very adequate with no unecessary delays and the story progresses quite rapidly to the cultivation world without seeming rushed. I hope to see more of Formation crafting next !
realistic world + math + good power scaling with no op mc fighting across realms. Scientific concepts are used well in this and this is pretty much how a mathematician would think. Also mc will become a formation user instead of cliche alchemy path.
Revelar SpoilerIt's well written with a good pace. Characters so far are likeable. Stands out from other cliche novels of this genre. High hopes for this one & hopefully consistent uploads.
This is a good novel I would recommend reading it(If its to your taste) The writing is of good quality there is few grammar errors here and there but it isn't anything major(Thank you author) Character development and world building was slow but it was at a comfortable pace(You know some novels go for 100-150 chapters to have a year pass with supreme pace(which i don't like)Thank you author for that) Updating is hectic but hopefully it improves from now on So all in all it's a good read I like hope it continues like this and it improves with time PS:This review is after reading all 50 chapters
Honestly the best cultivation novel I have ever read so far. No flaws, no issues, no weaknesses, just perfect. Highly recommend to atleast give it a try for a few chapters. Thank you author for the amazing 50 chapters.
it's been a while since I've rate a novel but this one is special 1st Mc is a real genius doesn't act without benefits of proper incentives, can be decisive and ruthless when needed 2nd Mc is not a simp he's task oriented. 3rd cultivation stages are more less the same as other eastern Fantasy novels meh!!!! 4th world background is kinder vogue we only know a single empire not the continent or other continents rival empires or the status of the cultivation world is is high or low cultivation world. 5th no cheats or bloody system Mc himself is a cheat his memories and deduction abilities of his mathematical past self is great, his talent is great mixed with his mind. 6th overall a great book strongly 💪 recommend it. just that updates tend to be on the slow side.
Loved it.😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅.Not a fan of long sentences Hope you forgive me. 😖
As one of my first novels in this category, this was a great start I really enjoyed the pacing as well as the characters and how they interacted with each other.
Absolutely loved it till atleast the big tournament in 2nd year. Has all the stuff that makes a xianxia great, is super engaging and has a rare smart MC. Same with the romance, amazingly well done. That scene with the stars gave me flashbacks of watching the iconic Bakemonogatari confession scene. Really liked it. What I didn't like was the MC resetting his talent to 5 stars. Seemed like the only not perfect card dealt to him in this life was also taken away. Completely random & unnecessary too since he was already making his way around it. Also didn't like the entire 5 élément stuff. Almost every xianxia MC have that, kinda sick of it now. Imo authors should not just give their MC everything. Give him metal, or wood or wind or water affinity. Let him be stronger in some areas and weaker in others cause of it. And let him use his knowledge to work around these weaknesses. 5 élément MC, or fire/lightening are so generic they just feel bland in a way, makes me kinda disappointed since the novel is pretty great otherwise. Still its just minor issues. All in all, great read. Definitely recommended.

Classic 5-star author review. In this novel, I write what the reader in me wanted to read in a cultivation novel. First and foremost, I am an enjoyer of the xianxia genre and cultivation novels in general. But some common points tend to frustrate me or take me out from the plots. Typical examples include MCs that are needlessly hiding their abilities when they could obtain huge benefits by just revealing some or the MCs vowing to stay low-key only for them to murder the son of a powerful figure the next minute, because he insulted their parents or something. With Journey of the Immortal Grandmaster, I try to portray believable characters with logical behaviors, even as those characters become more and more extraordinary. You will find a martial art adventure with a new realistic spin to it, and an accent on science. No OP MCs, cheat items, and stupid stepping stones piling out one after the other. Our MC will have to climb his way up with his determination and wits, from a normal starting point. Han Lingyun, our MC, is very smart but isn’t perfect either as he is in a growth state. You might find him on the cowardly side, especially compared to the traditional MCs. It is in Han Lingyun’s nature to calculate risks and rewards all the time. Admittedly, this novel is not for everyone: there won’t be constant life and death fights and face slapping if that is what you are looking for. The plot should fit more those that prefer ‘low-key’ MCs, more specifically, the MCs that don’t rely on Deus Ex Machina for saving themselves from an all-powerful cultivator they angered for the hundredth time. Don’t hesitate to join Han Lingyun on his epic journey!
