ADAM TAURUS POV
The Bullhead landed and Adam looked at Menagerie with a scowl, feeling a complicated set of emotions in his heart.
Menagerie, for all that it was the home of Faunus kind, was an insult and not only in name.
Menagerie was the smallest continent out of all the known continents in Remnant.
What was worse was the fact that Two-Thirds of it's landmass is comprised of Desert and is inhabitable due to dangerous Wildlife, making it even worse than even the Sanus Continent (where Vacuo is located).
The continent lacked natural resources, which was why they suffered from Poverty even after eighty years since the Faunus were given these lands.
Some of his fellow brethren might see this place as home and a safe haven but he would never be able to see this as anything else but a prison.
The bullhead finally landed and was greeted by one of his loyal subordinates in the Landing area.
"Adam. I thought you were busy with stealing Dust in Vale. What brings you to Menagerie?" Corsac Albian asked.
"I was summoned by High Leader Sienna Khan." He said as they shook hands "How do you not know this?"
Corsac raised an eyebrow "Do you think that Sienna Khan goes about telling everyone who she summons or not. Though the fact that she kept you summon a secret is… troubling."
His eyes narrowed "Do you think she learned about our plans?"
"Unlikely." Corsac said, though he could tell that his fellow Faunus was not very sure about this "But… such a summon is indeed very unusual. We should be ready to go ahead with our plans. Just in case she knows."
He nodded and Corsac led him to a Warehouse where he met Fennec Albian, Trifa, Yuma and a few others who had thrown their lot with him instead of choosing to follow Sienna Khan.
Once everyone arrived, they quickly started making contingencies in case Sienna Khan has already learned about the Coup.
They could not allow a Civil War to take place within the White Fang Ranks so even if they did kill Sienna Khan, they'll have to do so quietly and in a manner that'll allow them to put the blame of Human hunters.
Just as they discussing the plan on how to assassinate the High Leader, there was a knock on the door.
"Who's that?" he asked, his eyes narrowed as he wondered if they had missed anyone.
When it looked like the others were just as clueless as him, he looked at one of the guards. "Go and see who it is."
The guard left and he was about to continue speaking when Yuma, the Bat Faunus raised a hand and gestured for everyone to remain silent.
"I hear footsteps." Yuma said "Many of them. I think… we're being surrounded."
He cursed in his heart and silently reached for his blade, wondering which one of these bastards betrayed him.
And he had been so careful as well.
BANG!!!
The door broke from it's hinges and flew in, taking the guard along with it.
He stood up from his chair and took out his sword as Valfar Rinok entered the room, his large frame serving to intimidate everyone as more and more White Fang members followed behind him and surrounded the room.
Valfar Rinok was one of the strongest and most loyal subordinates of Sienna Khan.
The fact that the man was in the room was glaring balefully at him didn't say good things about his plans.
"Adam Taurus you fucking traitor!" Valfar growled as he took out his halberd and pointed it at him "You're under arrest for killing Sienna Khan and attempting a coup. Surrender and I'll make your death swift and merciful."
That… made him pause.
Sienna was dead? What the hell was this man talking about and what was going on.
"I don't know why you would think that. But I didn't kill Sienna Khan." He said, even as he knew that a fight was going to be inevitable.
Someone has framed him and had done a good job from the looks of it.
"So you refuse to surrender?" Valfar asked. When he didn't reply, the man gave him a bloodthirsty grin "Good. Attack!"
And so began the last fight of his life.
