"And Miss Schnee has launched a devastating attack against Mr. Sun Wukong while sending some of her Semblance created Grimm to aid her teammate Ruby who is fighting Mr. Neptune and Sage without any apparent difficulty." Professor Port said.
He saw Sun Wukong's aura being decreased at a fast and steady pace as the boy struggled to put up a futile defense against Weiss Schnee's rapid stabs and the powerful strikes of her Arma Gigas.
The rate at which this fight was going, he would be surprised if Sun Wukong managed to last 30 more seconds.
Which was why he was surprised when he didn't see his teammate David anywhere near that battle.
Oh, wait, he saw him. But… what's David doing… oh.
He took over the mike and spoke "It seems like Mr. David is not going to fight Miss Ruby and Miss Schnee and has instead set his sights on Miss Nikos."
In his opinion, going after Miss Nikos was probably the worst thing that David could've done.
He had not seen any of Miss Nikos' fight since she arrived in Beacon but thanks to the rumors going around among his peers and the gossip of his students, he knew that she was one of the most talented hunters of her generation. Followed only my Mr. Arc who was her own partner and had more Aura than both him and Professor Port combined.
If the boy had supported Mr. Sun Wukong then they might've put up a decent fight against Miss Schnee but as it was…
"WHAT A MARVELLOUS USE OF HIS SEMBLANCE!" Professor Port said as David used his Semblance 'Glide' to slowly glide toward Pyrrha Nikos. "IT SEEMS LIKE MR DAVID HAS DECIDED TO TAKE THE MATTERS IN HIS OWN HAND AND IS NOW GOING AFTER THE STRONGEST MEMBER OF TEAM ASPR."
"I would have to commend his bravery AND question his decision. Going after Miss Pyrrha Nikos like this is…"
What happened next was almost too fast for him to see.
Just as David reached Pyrrha Nikos attacked her with his sword, Jaune Arc arrived in front of her and caught the sword. With his bare hands.
Then Jaune kicked David in the side, bending the boy over his leg before throwing him on the floor.
David hit the ground, coughing blood from the impact, and couldn't move out of the way as Jaune jumped at him and punched him in the chest, turning the ground under him in a crater and burying David in it.
He looked at the Aura meter and just as he had thought, David's aura was broken.
The next moment, Jaune Arc jumped back at the top of the mountain and sat beside Pyrrha Nikos as if nothing happened, his aura still at 100%.
The crowd was silent.
"AND… IT LOOKS LIKE MR DAVID BIT MORE THAN HE COULD CHEW AND BECAME THE FIRST MEMBER OF TEAM SSSN TO BE ELIMINATED." Professor Port commented.
He on the other hand wondered how Mr. Arc didn't lose even 1% of his aura.
Catching the blade with his bare hands should've done at least some amount of damage.
Either Mr. Arc has more aura than they had assumed or there was something else at play here.
He looked at the other two fights going on in the middle of the arena and spoke up "It seems that Mr. Sun is having a lot of difficulty facing Miss Schnee's relentless attacks. If this continued then… aaannd… he's out."
The buzzer rang and Miss Schnee used one of the Glyphs to push a thoroughly beaten Sun Wukong out of the way and quickly went to aid her teammate Miss Ruby Rose.
And now it's two and two once again.
Miss Schnee and Miss Ruby Rose were clearly very good at team attacks and it didn't take them long to take out both Mr. Neptune and Mr. Sage.
By the time the last buzzer rang, only 46 seconds had passed.
Team ASPR had set a record for the fastest victory in the tournament.
Such a one-sided beat-down would no doubt lower the morale of the other teams.
And he wondered if this was exactly what team ASPR was after.
To completely demoralize the other teams before the Preliminary rounds have even ended.
If it was, then he had no doubt that they succeeded spectacularly.
He smiled at the progress of the new generation of Hunters and continued with his commentary.
