Capítulo 14: Entering the Castle
Disilphon, Orelia and Arion are starting to make their way up to the castle. Arion is excited to find out how the castle looks on the inside. But mainly how he is going to live from now on, how are the rooms and the internal of the building. As they are making their ways up, they pass several servants that bow to Orelia and the King, yet give him a disgusting look. This makes him feel again not welcome among humans. They soon arrive at a big entrance door, the door itself is made out of wood. But due to the sheer size it looks too heavy to move by hand. As they approach the too man guarding the entrance, they give a small hand signal to someone, but Arion was unable to perceive to whom. Directly after the gesticulation the door opens on its own, revealing a giant inner garden. The garden has several stone paths in it, with a giant water fountain in the middle.
The three of them start to walk towards the garden but at the moment Arion was about to enter he is stopped by two lances. "What do you think you are doing, get to the slaves hall", one of the guard voices with a disgusted face. Arion a bit speechless to the declaration only turns his head towards Orelia in a slight desperation. Orelia, which is already too far inside the inner garden to realize what is happening, isn't reacting to the situation. The same goes for the King, Arion left behind simply calls out Orelia's name. To which one of the guards answered with a punch to Arions guts with his lance. Arion isn't even changing his facial expression in response to the punch. "What are you doing Arion? Get moving", Orelia shouts out, so that even the guards can hear it. Arion now simply walks by the guards, without looking at them or saying anything.
Arion walking faster to catch up to the princess, still keeps a good look at the surrounding of the garden.Arion realizes that in the middle of this whole area the castle itself is located. The garden surrounds the whole castle which is again surrounded by the giant wall. They are now about to enter the actual building, which leaves Arion excited. Even though everything he was given so far were disgusted looks by all the servants. As the main door of the palace is opening, a giant hallway is revealed, decorated in flags with emblems and giant drawings of people.The emblem, a crown that wears flames, seems to be the one of the royal family, and the drawings of previous kings and queens. As they all wear a crown with flames made of metal. As they proceed to the hallway, Arion perceives stairs on the left and right that reach to the first floor, for the rest, there is not a single door. At the end of the hallway, they are greeted again by a giant door, which is opened by two guards. "Wait here till we call for you", the king says, and enters the room with Orelia.
As he was told, Arion stays outside the room, the two man guarding the entrance are whispering to each other and giving Arion the same look as everyone else. He is unable to hear anything from inside the room and simply waits patiently, while avoiding eye contact with the guards. Soon the door opens and a voice coming from the inside says: "You may enter now". Arion on the spot decides not to enter normally how everyone suspects him doing, but he decides to make an entrance. So he invokes his powers to bend the light around his body. To the point that the light itself doesn't touch it anymore and simple goes around it, leaving him invisible. The two man guarding the entrance, their mouths opened in astonishment as Arion vanishes in front of their eyes. Arion now simply walks into the room and takes a closer look around, while nobody is noticing his presence. He can perceive that everyone is staring at the entrance waiting for him, but they just don't realize that he is already there. The room seems to be the throne room of the castle, as the king is sitting on a giant throne like chair, and Orelia standing beside him. Now Arion makes a small black misty cloud appear in the middle of the room. As he, still invisible, walks through the cloud, he becomes visible for everyone. It looks like he came out of the cloud for everyone.
His entrance leaves everyone surprised, but they immediately perceive his horn, changing the mood of the room completely. Everyone went silent, and the king started to speak: "I present to you Arion, as you may have already seen, he is a half-breed of a human and a demon, which makes him extremely powerful. Therefore it is decided that he will take from now on the place as Orelia's personal attendant." Fast and loud discussions arise in the throne room, but no one seems to have to courage to say something to the king. They simply give Arion a disgusted look. Disilphon now staring at Arion: "As Orelia's personal attendant, you are to be at her side, at all times.", indication for Arion to stand next to Orelia. As Arion starts to walk, a loud voice a man can be heard screaming: "OBJECTION!"
