Hi, the wrong person at the right time can change everything.
That is something I was told before everything happened.
It was snowing lightly outside my window as the sun started to rise up. I was trying my best to wake up while being quiet until I
I was still drifting to sleep since it was so early but I tried my best to stay conscious since I now what would happen if I don't.by the sound of someone approaching the door to my room. The door knob turned ever so slightly as the wood started to creak creaked open as the silhouette of a gun peaked out from the crack.
The assailant pulled the trigger and fired directly into my bed and hit the blankets
The door was opened all the way now as they gloated. "Ha got you this time. better luck next time." They sneered as they walked over to the bed and yanking the covers off.
BUT!
"What in the-" The intruder said in shock as where he shot was a pile of pillows in the shape of a person.
"Where is he if not on his bed?" He said with panicky in his voice.
"I'm not on the bed. I'M IN THE BED!" I yelled as I brought out my own weapon a fired at his knees.
"No way." They said while falling to the ground and looking at with with surprise.
"Hahah. All right, all right, you win. Well played Mark." My fallen foe said while raising his hand up faking a surrender. only to fire one last dart at me.
"AH, no fair Alex." I cried as he got up and turned around.
"That's life. Nothings ever fair." He said while acting all smug about winning the nerf battle.
"Now if you want your breakfast and presents then..." I new where he was going and beat him to the punch.
"321 GO!"I yelled as I sprinted past him and out the door.
"Rude starting a race like that. Also be quiet or you'll wake the others!" Alex said following behind me.
My name is Mark Cross, I was a 15 year old dude just living life the best way I could do. By shooting my brother in a game of Nerf first thing in the morning followed by breakfast.
I was watching one of my favorite series Kamen Rider Build again with my family as the snow continued to pile up outside.
It was Christmas day. A Time of tradition and memories.
It was a Christmas tradition that my older Brother and I made to watch Kamen Rider along with digimon and Ben 10 during our Christmas breaks. We've been so busy with everything else that we couldn't spend as much time together like before, but now that things have settled down we can get back a little bit of our normal life.
We were at the part when the main character Kiyru Sento transforms into the hero Kamen Rider Build to fight agent Blood Stalk after reveling who he really was.
"Man, I love this reveal, every single time it hurts my soul thinking about how betrayed Sento." My brother would say this as I was watching the events unfolded again.
"It is still a gut punch even today" agreeing with him as the fight continued.
I still remembered when I first watched this when I was 11 and couldn't get enough of Power Rangers and went looking for more like it until I found this series. It quickly became one of my favorite things to watch.
All along there was a hole world of media that I was oblivious to.
The Tokusatsu series, guys in full suites fighting monsters with explosions and actions that astounded me every time I watched it.
"What I wouldn't do to be something like that." I said as my brother turned to me.
"Get beat up in an ally or store room?" He said in a smart aleck tone while grinning from ear to ear.
"You know what I mean" I shouted back at him while throwing a pillow. "I'd love to be a suit wearing hero, to fight monsters and save people, to have cool explosions happen around me as the music swells saying an amazing one-liner to your fallen enemies. " I continued my speech while standing up on the couch as high as I could go.
"And get beaten up in the abandoned warehouse district." My brother said as a pillow was thrown at me this time.
As it hit my face and fall backwards I remembered another tradition we had was to pillow box at a random time when know one would predict. I put my hand in the pillow sleeve and
"Ready Set Go" My brother yelled as a right hook with a pillow was approaching my head.
I gripped the pillow that was thrown at me and used it as a shield to parry the oncoming assault.
This lasted only a second as a left was coming, I new it all to well.
I ducked instinctually as the pillow flies overhead.
I then counter attack my brother with an uppercut out of know where as he falls onto the couch.
"dang it, lost again" he said lying on the couch pretending to be in pain. Only to throw a surprise punch that sent the pillow on his hand at me.
I saw it coming this time and dogged out of the way while throwing my one at him.
"Your getting to predictable." I say victorious over my opponent who looked shocked that I managed to best him for real.
I laugh in his face as I was striking a pose imagining an explosion happening behind me.
"Alright alright." my brother said as he was getting up from his couch.
"Time to open some of the presents we got this year, hope I don't get coal again" he said thinking how their dad actually got them coal for Christmas when we were just playing around in an abandoned mall one time.
"I actually thought that was pretty funny." I said remembering the look on my brothers face as if he saw the end of the world.
"Merry Christmas Alex." I said sliding a present out from behind the couch.
"Thanks, I wish these day can stay this way at least." He said while grabbing the present. A somber lookin his eye.
"Yeah, me too." I said feeling a mix a worry and happy at once.
.
"Me three." Alex said while looking away.
"Me four." I added right back at him.
"You always have to have the last word don't you?" My brother said while giving me the side eye while smiling. He new what he was doing.
"Of course. Because I'm awesome." I said not backing down from any of his challenges.
"Guess I should make us something to eat." Alex said with less enthusiasm than before.
"We can watch the rest later." I said as I ran back to my room and open one of my gifts secretly.
"...Sure." He said after a moment of silence.
As this was happening, only a few hours later everything went wrong.
Or is it wrong to make a wish while hoping for more goodtime to roll?

A girl covered in scars and blood was crawling along a floor of ruins and plant life awaiting the inevitable death that is sure to come.
Her eyes failing to close from the trauma inflicted to her head.
Until she saw a faint shine falling through the darkness, as it hit the floor in front of her a loud bang resonated through the ancient cavern.
She looked at it through her haze and saw a piece of metal fall in front of her.
It was something she did not recognize or know but it called out to her as if a voice was saying, no pleading to be picked up. Her instincts told her the thing in front of her had some sort of power.
Power she needed, wanted, had finally appeared in her hands.
'At... deaths door already so nothing really mattered either way' she thought as she reached out to the object.
Even if she never completed her goal, her dream.
She felt at peace, even if this was the end for her.
She won't know what will happen now but it is something the world wouldn't like very much
Soooo, first time trying this and over 100 people looked at this fan-fic before I finished the actual first chapter. I feel stupid, I just wanted to set it up first before I wrote down anything.
but such is life.
How did I do?
Did you like it or did it suck, let me know. I want to improve on this and see where it goes.
New notes: I just updated this chapter and I felt like I added just enough without destroying my old work
That all, I'm tired, going to bed.
Ciao
