I smiled. She had picked up my slang faster than I could have imagined, but I was pretty sure she didn't really understand what she was actually saying.
"I still don't understand how I got stuffed on the floor while you get to ride pretty as you please up there," I said from my hiding spot just behind the driver's seat of the truck.
