Capítulo 67: Chapter 67 Apology
"Well as you may have noticed Ms. Mary is going to be gone for the rest of the course and we have decided that I will be the one in charge of you from now on. I will be leading the internship temporarily for the time being." Mr. Ken said. Dick and Gloria stared at each other briefly with looks of uncertainty.
"I think that the events that have transpired are good to serve as a reminder that we are stronger together and that we should stay by each other no matter what. We have to help each other and be there for one another during our times of need." He said to them as he looked towards Tina.
She had a crest fallen look on her face as some of the other students looked towards her with sharp glares on their face. They didn't share the same level of sympathy towards her that he did.
"You should be kind towards your classmate Tina. You can see that she has been through quite an ordeal and as the classmates you should be doing your best in order to make sure that she is comfortable and try to ensure that she doesn't face anything like that again. If there is any way for you to help her out you should try your best to do so." He said to them quietly.
"We should all learn from your mistakes and I think that despite the great tragedy that we have encountered we can still learn from this. It is safer for all of us to carry out the rest if the internship as one large team rather than several small ones. This will ensure that we stay safe and we can protect each other." He said to them.
Mr. Ken finished up the rest of his speech with words of encouragement as he pushed the student to be there for one another.
The students all decided to take up different parts of the clearing. But now that the teams had been dissolved they knew they had to work together rather than against each other.
The other students couldn't help but glance towards Tina occasionally as though they were waiting for the moment when she would break.
It was a miracle how she was still standing on two feet and she was behaving as though nothing had happened.
One of the girls was shocked by the scene and she decided to talk to Tina about it. She knew that Mr. Ken had warned them against it but she wasn't about to let such a thing slide without getting to the bottom of it.
As the girl approached Tina she was cautious in her steps, as she came to a stand in front of her Tina raised her head up to look towards her.
"What do you want." Tina asked her and the girl cleared her throat trying to gather her confidence.
"it is just that how are you able to act like everything is okay?" She asked her.
Tina quirked a brow at her in response. "I don't know what you mean." She said to her calmly.
"How are you able to act like you are okay after what happened to you? I mean we all saw it and even that was hard to watch but. I can't imagine you having to go through it. That must have been horrifying. If I was you I would have taken the offer and left the program." The girl said to her casually as she shrugged her shoulders.
Tina felt her jaw tick before she covered it up quickly. By plastering on a fake smile onto her features.
"Well luckily I am not you. I am fine it is no big deal. I have gotten over it." Tina said to her firmly.
The girl seemed surprised by her words and slightly taken aback. She cleared her throat as she scratched the back of her neck. "Well I am sorry for assuming. I guess that you are pretty strong and it really didn't affect you."
The girl said and she was about to turn around and leave when Tina suddenly spoke up.
"The truth is that it did actually change me in more ways than one. I have come to realize that I was a terrible person before and I was acting over the top and bossing everyone around. That was mean of me. we are all together in this and lie Mr. Ken said we are a team. I wasn't acting very team like and so for that I am sorry." Tina said to her.
The girl widened her eyes at Tina's words. It was the first time that she had ever heard Tina apologize to anyone and so the words came as a large shock to her.
The girl cleared her throat after a minute as she was able to recover after a moment.
"Oh wow thank you very much." The girl said.
Tina nodded her head at her absentmindedly before she looked towards her other classmates. "actually there are a few other people that I want to apologize to." Tina said as she stood up from her spot.
She walked over to the spot where Gloria and Dick were sat as they conversed in low whispers. As s she came to stand before them she cleared their throat grabbing their attention.
Gloria frowned at the sight of Tina not wanting to have to deal with her at that. Very moment. The last thing that she wanted was any more trouble from her.
"What do you want?" Gloria asked Tina coldly.
She watched in complete shock as Tina slowly lowered herself to the ground with her head bowed.
"I am sorry for the way that I have been treating you. I think it had to do with the fact that I was afraid that you were stronger than me and I thought that bullying you would make me feel better about myself. But I was wrong and I know that what I did wasn't right." She said.
Gloria was left in complete shock as she looked at the submissive stance that Tina had taken. She had never thought that Tina would ever do something like that.
The fact that she had bowed down and she was even willing to apologize. The sight alone left her in shock and she couldn't believe what she was seeing in front of her.
She wasn't entirely sure what Tina was up to and she had a feeling that her body wasn't sincere but she could tell that the eyes of the rest of the class was trained on her.
"Fine I accept your apology and there are no hard feelings. It isn't easy thinking that someone could be stronger than you,." Gloria said to her reluctantly.
She watched as a bright smile made its way onto Tina's face as she stood back up rto her feet. "I promise that I will make it up to you and that starts now." Tina said to her firmly.
She couldn't help but grow curious at the thought of what Tina had planned. Tina made her way to the center of the clearing as she began to speak.
