When the image appeared on the screen, Hitomi and Kasumi were startled and exclaimed in surprise:
- What is this?!
- What the...?
- Don't be scared, it's a TV. In the near future, we'll have one like this at home. - Kenshin said with a smile and hugged the two beauties. Based on his understanding of the "Shelter Creation" ability, he knew that sooner or later there would be advanced forms of entertainment, be it television or music. He couldn't wait to show the girls his favorite movies, so he planned to invest his next ability point in this skill.
- God, this is some kind of miracle... It's like a person is locked behind glass... - Kasumi whispered, coming closer. Kenshin's words had an effect on them without fail, and the two curious cats instantly relaxed.
Noticing that the screen had become serious, Kasumi and Hitomi focused all their attention on the image, and saw a strange-looking man with orange hair playfully taking down the Konoha reconnaissance team.
- Ah! What kind of scoundrel dared to destroy a squad of Konoha shinobi, right outside the village gates. Is he suicidal? - Kasumi exclaimed angrily. And although she no longer belonged to the shinobi of Konoha, she still had very warm feelings for her native village.
Hitomi wisely kept silent. Something in this shinobi's eyes terrified her. She didn't understand what was wrong with his eyes, but she was very sensitive and knew that he was far from simple.
Suddenly the scene changed and six more figures appeared on the screen, all wearing identical cloaks with red clouds, causing Kasumi's confidence to waver a little. She began to suspect that there was more to the story and that Kenshin would not have shown them this fragment without a reason.
When the girl with the metal pins on her face was thrown into Konoha and summoned everyone else, Kasumi's heart skipped a beat. Even though everything was drawn and ridiculous, she recognized the hand seals and forehead protectors of the shinobi perfectly.
- Who are these bastards from the rain village? - Kasumi snorted, fearing for the fate of her former village.
The scene on the screen changed again, and all the enemy shinobi scattered in all directions in the blink of an eye, causing chaos and destruction.
- Ah! Where are the Anbu, and Hiruzen-sama personally, looking! - Kasumi was indignant, seeing the destruction caused.
Suddenly, a young man with his hair braided into a large ponytail appeared in the frame and saved a woman from being attacked by a giant centipede, and then pierced her with shadows.
"It's good that the Nara clan is not asleep! Who is this shinobi?" She asked Kenshin happily, being proud of her clan.
- This is Shikamaru.
- What?! Little Shikamaru?!" She exclaimed in surprise. The boy she saw on the screen was only slightly similar to the type of the naughty boy she often had to see. In addition, the drawn characters were very different from real people, so Kasumi was shocked when she learned the truth.
Kenshin decided to remain silent until they watched it to the end. His memories were still incomplete, and many "unimportant" moments were forgotten, so in literally ten minutes they watched everything exactly up to the moment when Pain rose high above the village and used the great "Shinra Tensei."
"Oh God, no!" Kasumi cried, tears streaming down her face as she saw a huge invisible wave sweeping away everything in its path.
"Tsunade-sama!" Hitomi shouted, noticing the woman she practically idolized. When she saw the state Senju Tsunade was in after protecting so many villagers, Hitomi couldn't hold back her tears.
- Where is Hiruzen? Where is Jiraiya? Where is Danzo? Where are Shikaku and Hiashi?! Why is it that when the village is in trouble, there is no one to protect it?! - Kasumi shouted, being absolutely furious at everything that was happening.
- Hiruzen and Jiraiya are dead. Danzo is waiting for Tsunade to die and vacate the Hokage post. Shikaku and Hiashi are unknown. For some reason, they are unremarkable figures in this story. - Kenshin answered, and saw shock mixed with disbelief on both girls' faces.
"This can't be!" Kasumi exclaimed, worried for her Nara clan. And although in the conflict between the Nakayama family and the Nara clan, she would choose the side of her beloved family without hesitation, the black-haired kunoichi still had some warm feelings for her native clan and village.
Then Naruto pompously appeared on the screen on a huge toad, and a fight broke out, during which the jinchuriki of the nine-tailed was able to successfully hold back six of Pain's bodies for some time. Both girls watched the battle with bated breath. For them, what was happening on the screen was so incomprehensible that they shuddered in fear when the most dangerous technique flew straight into the "camera". Kenshin had long since materialized three chairs, and having seated the beauties on the left and right, he sat in the middle, hugging both of them by the waist.
When Naruto was pinned to the ground by long spikes, the girls sighed sadly until a beautiful black-haired girl with a Byakugan appeared in the frame.
- Ah, child of the Hyuga clan, run away! - Hitomi exclaimed, feeling pity for her distant relative. She managed to notice the girl's open forehead, on which there was no slave seal.
"A child of the main branch? Who is she?" Hitomi asked in surprise.
"Hyuuga Hinata, daughter of Hiashi," Kenshin replied.
- Ah! Princess Hinata… - Hitomi whispered, and contrary to common sense, she became even more worried. She had only seen this girl a few times, at major Hyuga clan celebrations, and for some reason little Hinata did not cause her the same hatred that Hitomi felt for her father.
When two blue smokes with lion heads appeared on Hinata's hands and she began to successfully fight against Pain, Hitomi and Kasumi held their breath in amazement, right up until the moment when, instead of attacking the enemy, she began to break the pins from Naruto's body.
Pain easily overpowered Hinata, sending her high into the air before pulling her down. Hitomi couldn't hold back her tears as she saw the girl from her former clan being brutally impaled by a huge spike.
"Oh my god, what kind of monsters are these? Why can't anyone defeat them?" Kasumi asked as her best friend cried into Kenshin's shoulder.
"This is Pain. The six bodies are practically immortal. They have one vision for all of them, and they are controlled by one person." Kenshin answered, stroking his fourth wife.
The events on the screen changed again, and both girls focused their attention on the incredible release of the tailed beast. Naruto was furious, and he stopped holding the nine-tailed beast, instantly acquiring the fox's cloak, and breaking the pins.
