Capítulo 78: 77. Cristmas gifts
Harry stood up and told them the changes in him. He knew that the ritual was a success and those major changes in him was because of System's rewards.
"Harry, would you wear your clothes please? Hermione can't see you in the eyes now because of it." Lily said not being able to take it anymore. Hermione's face was down, looking at the ground, blushing furiously. Harry realised that he forgot about that in his hurry to know about the ritual. He hurriedly wore his clothes while apologising to Hermione.
"It's alright Harry, I know you didn't do it on purpose. You are going to see me naked anyway during the ritual." Hermione said trying to sound casual and mature.
"Thanks Hermione." Harry said akwardly.
"Harry, you call everyone with short names, why do you only call me using full name all the time. It feels so formal.." Hermione complained.
"Eh? Well, Hermione is a beautiful name. But I can also give you a short name if you are okay with that. How about I call you Mio? But I will call you by both the names as I really like your name." Harry asked scratching his head, not understanding where this topic came from. Hermione 'Mio' nodded happily accepting her name.
"The ritual is perfect. It does everything that I want. Mio can go through it after I make some adjustments suitable for her." He explained the effects, consequences, and even the side effects of increasing height and strength.
" Harry, how are you going to explain your abnormal increase in heights?. You were 4'9 before, now you are 5'4. You can't let anyone know about rituals." Lily asked an important question.
" I will make a height increasing Potion and directly patent it on my name while letting Rita Skeeter write about it in daily prophet. I'm sure it will do the trick." Harry had obviously thought about the problem beforehand as he answered without hesitation, making Lily again praise him.
Harry customised the ritual for Hermione, put the ingredients and instructed her on what do you. Hermione took off her clothes but Harry didn't feel any attraction from her, as she still looked like a kid with her underdeveloped body.
Hermione spent 30 minutes inside the chamber before the ritual was completed. Harry had been looking at her status continuously the whole time but he found everything was normal. Her height also increased to become 5'3, just an inch shorter than his own.
"So how are you feeling Mio?"
"Strong.. Light.. free.. fresh.. I have never felt anything like this.. This, this is just amazing. I feel like I can one shot Hagrid right now." Hermione said bouncing excitedly making Harry turn his head slightly in embarrassment. She didn't know that it was not just her height that increased. 'Damn my hormones.'
"Ahem. Hermione, I'm transfiguring a body length mirror. You can see what changes there are and come out after wearing your clothes -"
"EEP!!!" Hermione yelped realising that she made the same mistake as Harry. She scrambled to pick her clothes but Harry had already ran away from the room leaving Hermione and Lily behind.
"Alright Hermione. He is not here, so check the changes first. I also want to talk to you about something very important." Lily said sighing. She decided to have a talk with Hermione about her and Harry's relationship and Harry's growing closeness with many other girls now that they had entered that age.
The next morning, Harry and Hermione got up early and got ready. Soon the guests started arriving one by one. Grangers, Tonkses, Mcgonagall, Flitwick, Daphne with her mother and sister, Penelope with her mother, Jessica.
Harry gave them their gifts and explained to them its purpose. He also received many gifts. Flitwick gave him Dueling Robes, Mcgonagall - A rare book on self-transfiguration. Andy gave him her hand written Healing notes, Ted gave him a ticket to a muggle massage centre.
"You have been working really hard young man. I used to go there whenever I felt very tired or frustrated. Their massage therapists are experts in their arts." Harry felt as if a 1000 volt light bulb lightened up over his head.
" Thanks Dan. You might have helped me more than you realise." Harry said controlling his excitement.
"Alright. Now we are also waiting with the gifts. Here Harry, know that this awesome lady here is risking going to Azkaban by giving you this." Dora pushed her father aside and gave him an auror training guide book. Harry thanked her and promised to not let anyone know about it.
Emma and Dan gave all the kids, movie tickets. Hermione gave him a rare book on Astrology. She got it by helping their astrology professor, Penny said. Penny gave him a nice pair of sports shoes and her mother, Emily, gave him a book on mundane herbs. Jessica hesitatingly gave him a handmade card. Harry hugged her thanking gratefully. Daphne gave him a rare book on Herbology, while her mother Isabel, gave him chocolates. Lily was sad for not being able to do anything for him and Harry told her that her being with him was the greatest gift for him. He also got many other gifts like chocolates, books, rare books, clothes, expensive perfumes, many love letters and even some pictures and invitations, much to the chagrin of other girls.
They found nearly half the chocolates laced with love potions and accompanied by cringey love confessions.
He then told everyone about the ritual and asked for those who wanted to go through it. At last only Dora, Daphne, Penelope and Jessica voiced their agreement. Harry didn't force anyone, he just told them its benefits but others decided that they didn't want to become fighter. Astoria said she wanted to but Harry said he first wanted to look into her curse before letting her participate.
