The moment the magic circle appeared, Gildarts and Ur realized this was Forbidden Magic, followed by disbelief.
Instantly activated Forbidden Magic?
How much magic power does this guy possess?
A humanoid dragon?
The huge black magic circle enveloped not only Gaal and Ur but also the other members of the Grimoire Heart.
Except for the unconscious Zancrow, a few others couldn't help but gasp:
"This is bad. The Master is angry!"
Zancrow, not far from Gaal, was swallowed up and disappeared the moment the dark magic circle appeared.
Then the ground within the Forbidden Dark Magic Circle lit up, and one enormous demon after another crawled out from the magic circle, all created entirely from dark magic power, a complete aggregation of dark magic.
These demons were composed entirely of magic, their bodies flowing with dark purple patterns, each one a conglomerate filled with despair.
They crawled out from rocks, out from trees, out from water flows...
Azuma, fighting against Ur, spoke up:
"Surrender. You cannot resist the Master's magic."
The two were quite far apart, but their words were easily heard.
Surrounding Ur were broken trees and huge craters from explosions, while the ground near Azuma was covered with layers of ice, blocking him from drawing magic power from the earth.
Ur remained unchanged, showing no sign of wavering:
"Do you want me to give up my daughter?"
Ur brought her hands together, pointing them towards the distant Azuma:
"Ice Make: Bullet Impatiens!!!"
A wall of Bullet Impatiens hundreds of meters high gathered behind him, firing countless leaf-like projectiles at Azuma.
Unfazed, Azuma raised his hand toward Ur:
"I just want you to stop your pointless struggle. Raging Buzzing Bee!"
The frozen trees stirred, and the constant cracking of ice could be heard as the trees that broke through the ice grew wildly, rushing towards the oncoming barrage of leaves, with branches colliding and creating a continuous series of explosions.
The smoke created by the explosions and the steam from melting leaves enveloped the area, instantly covering a thousand-meter radius.
On another front, the Gigantamax Ninetales glowed bright orange, just like the adjacent Gigantamax Ice Ninetales. Its nine tails and joints were also ablaze, though in orange rather than the ice blue of Ice Ninetales.
These two Gigantamax beasts fought fiercely against the summoned Guardian Beasts brought forth by Rustyrose.
The Gigantamax Ninetales grappled with the earth dragon-like Sacred Guardian Beast, Belcusas the Thunderclap, while the Gigantamax Ice Ninetales engaged in a mobile battle with the Sacred Guardian Beast, Belfast the Hurricane.
The primal battle among the four giants shook the earth, splintering mountains.
In the distance, Rustyrose himself was being pressed and beaten by the Gigantamax Urshifu, assisted by Greninja, leading him to fight on the run.
Until Hades unleashed Heavenly Punishment, summoning endless despairing demons to surround Gaal.
The Gigantamax Urshifu immediately stopped and looked towards Gaal.
Greninja landed on the shoulder of the Gigantamax Urshifu, raised its hand, and withdrew the Galar Particles from Gaal that were within it, merging them into the Gigantamax Urshifu's body, before nodding at the creature.
The Gigantamax Urshifu let out a low growl, its body engulfed in red flames as it charged towards Gaal.
Seeing this, Rustyrose involuntarily relaxed and turned his gaze to the descending Greninja, a savage grin creeping onto his face:
"Is it just you left? Damn it, despairing undead!!!"
Before Rustyrose appeared a portal, from which a humanoid ghost wielding a long knife emerged, screaming toward Greninja.
Greninja remained unfazed, took a deep breath, and exhaled, releasing smoke that instantly engulfed the surrounding area.
This caused Rustyrose to lose sight of Greninja.
Shua shua—
Two cold lights shot out from the smoke, attacking Rustyrose from both sides. He raised his shield to defend, but another silhouette burst from the smoke. Rustyrose instantly aimed his pitch-black sword in that direction.
He struck out at high speed but hit nothing.
Swish!
Another shadow darted through the smoke towards him.
Rustyrose felt a jolt of unease and hurriedly went on the defensive.
Gaal frowned nearby.
Calmly using Space Magic, he dodged the continuous roars of the despairing demons.
Although these demons lacked intelligence, their magic power seemed endless, with their roaring attacks coming relentlessly.
With a wave of his hand, a bright beam of sunlight coalesced.
He shot through one despairing demon's head, and as the light passed through, that enormous demon glowed with purple light, its magic power erupting.
Boom—!!!
An explosion soared into the sky.
The despairing demon, compressed entirely from magic power and standing several meters tall, once detonated, acted like an ultimate magical bomb compressed to its desperate size.
The fierce shockwave swept through the entire Giant's Mountain Range, stretching far away, producing a mushroom cloud higher than the surrounding mountains.
Nearby, many despairing demons were caught in the explosion, with several perishing and causing a chain reaction of detonations.
A giant mushroom cloud continuously billowed upwards.
The impact stretched far beyond the Giant's Mountain Range, with the earthquake from the explosion alarming nearby cities.
Countless citizens ran out, gazing at the numerous mushroom clouds rising from the direction of the Giant's Mountain Range, while several mages stared at the terrifying magic power they could still feel from such a distance, their faces frozen in shock:
"What's going on over there...?"
"What on earth happened?!"
"Who is fighting?"
"This level of magic power!"
"Are you kidding me? How can a human possess this much magic, a dragon?"
"Hiss— Quickly report to the Magic Council! This is going to be a huge incident!"
Some powerful mages could feel the terror more vividly:
"What exactly happened there?!!!"
Their voices quaked with fear.
---
Deep within the Giant's Mountain Range.
The battle had gradually moved from the edge of the Giant's Mountain Range deeper inside.
There was no choice.
The surrounding environment was no longer suitable for fighting; entire mountains had been leveled, leaving behind bottomless pits, and intimidating chaotic magic intertwined wildly.
The battle had fallen into a stalemate.
Ur's magic power was gradually running low; even borrowing from the natural magic was insufficient against Azuma.
On the other hand, Azuma was struggling as well, continually extracting earth magic; he had already started to take on a tree-like appearance. If this continued, he might just turn into a tree right there.
But the battle couldn't stop now; it was just a matter of who would run out of strength first.
Meanwhile, the other members of Grimoire Heart, except for Zancrow, who was taken by Hades, were entangled by Gaal's Pokémon due to the flaws in their magic.
The worst-off was Kain Hikaru, as his magic required either his own hair or someone else's as a medium.
The Gigantamax Gengar was a ghost-type Pokémon, and not only was there no hair, there wasn't a single thread of fur.
He could only pull out his own hair to strengthen himself, but over the last half day, he had already pulled out a fifth of it, and none made it to the medium doll; all the pulled hair had turned to powder under his psychic power.
He could only keep using hand-to-hand combat against the Gigantamax Gengar.
Rustyrose, on the other hand, had relaxed a little since the Gigantamax Urshifu had left.
Although the summoned Sacred Beasts were suppressed by the two giant Ninetales, he only had to deal with Greninja now, making things considerably easier.
Gaal was also encountering difficulties; the Gigantamax Urshifu was impossible to approach.
Each of the despairing demons, over ten meters tall, behaved like bombs made of magic; striking one would result in an explosion, whereas not attacking kept them firing off magical roars like a dense net of fire.
Gaal continued to maneuver around, carving magic circles into the ground to draw the despairing demons into the formation.
A few dozen overlapping sunbeam arrays lit up in front of him, piercing through the demons within the array.
Without hesitation, Gaal initiated the spatial array inscribed on the ground:
"Position Swap!"
Swish!
Swish!
The demons at the center of the teleportation array vanished in two batches, seven or eight transferred not far from Azuma, while Ur disappeared, leaving several others moved up into the thousands of meters high sky, not far from Hades, with Gildarts vanishing as well.
Boom!!!
Boom—!!!
It was as if more than twenty super magical bombs exploded simultaneously in both the sky and on the ground.
The scorching airflow swept over, revealing a massive void in the horizon.
Ur and Gildarts appeared beside Gaal, who raised a magic shield to block the sweeping hurricane:
"How's it going? Can you hold on?"
Ur, panting heavily and covered in battle scars, shook his head:
"I'm afraid not. That guy over there is utterly exhausting. If this keeps up, we're going to be worn out."
Gildarts looked a bit scruffy, but his breath remained steady and his brow furrowed:
"It's not just the one on the ground. The one in the sky is even more outrageous; where did this old guy even come from? I can't keep up with him. No wonder they're called the strongest dark guild. There's simply no way to fight back."
If it came to the quality of the magic power, Gildarts feared nothing from Hades.
But Hades possessed an eternity of magic power, unending.
Despite Gildarts unleashing so many attacks constantly and even drinking the magic recovery potion from Gaal, he hadn't seen a hint of weakness from Hades.
Gaal nodded gravely and looked up towards the sky.
He knew where Hades's magic source was, but comparing both sides' current forces, if he didn't take Hades down in one shot, next time it would be harder to find his magic source.
After pondering for a moment, Gaal took off his black magic hat from atop his head and handed it to Gildarts:
"Put this on and give them something big."
Gildarts nodded, preparing to go big; after all, continuing the fight would yield no results. Taking the hat, he asked:
"Is this also a magical item? I've seen you wear it all the time."
Gaal smiled and replied:
"You can call it... Scholar's Fury."
Gildarts looked at him, his expression strange, as he put on the hat:
"Naming it after your own nickname. You really are narcissistic..."
Gildarts' eyes widened as he felt the enhancement within himself, incredulously exclaiming:
"What*!!! What the heck is this? My magic power intensity?!!! Hiss—!!!!"
