THE KNIGHTS were both surprised and worried, mostly for me, as they saw how Ekrisilia easily pointed her sword at me.
She didn't even hesitated when she pointed the sword at her much younger sister, like she was seeing an enemy instead of a blood relative.
Honestly? I didn't expect that she would welcome me here. It was a dumb decision, but what else can I do but to brute force myself to them?
On the other hand, I wasn't trembling like a scared cat nor did I paled when I saw my reflection on her sword.
Call me crazy, but this is the reaction I wanted.
The smile never left my face as I stepped back, since I got the reaction I wanted, I am backing down for now.
The moment I did stepped back, the red light shone brightly as if intimidating me but I just shake my head and put my arms up.
"Fine, I'll leave. I just saw you from my balcony and just wanted to see you fight at a closer distance."
She didn't look flattered at all and instead, the fire in her eyes shone brightly and deadly.
Silence surrounded us as we still stared at each other but that was cut off when a voice rang in our ears.
"L-Lady Ekrisilia!"
I saw Ekris flinch by the sound of that person's voice, as if she had been caught doing something wrong.
I turned my head to look at the person who will undeniably be my savior for this plan.
What greeted my eyes is a man, who seemed to be 15. He has milk-chocolate-colored hair and deep brown eyes that glistened like freshly unearthed soil, as well as a face that looks like a kid but with his physique, he looks more like a teen.
I mentally grinned when I saw Ekrisilia's sword slowly going down, seemingly guilty that she was caught by this person.
Found you!
"Why are you pointing your sword towards your sister?" He asks calmly, his nervousness visible.
He slowly walks towards us as he gently places himself between us, mostly facing Ekrisilia as his back is on me.
This guy, right here, is Lionel. He is a newbie in our knights and is the nephew of the captain of the Holsteads.
In the novel, Ekrisilia would always go back home and train there every single day without fail even though she is part of the imperial knights, all because of Lionel.
And, well, Lionel is Ekrisilia's first love and crush.
"I…I was just…"
"My Lady!"
We stopped in our tracks as we heard a shout followed by heavy footsteps behind us, making us turn our heads to the source.
We all saw Avril power walking while his eyes are cold, looking straight at me, along with her is the head butler of the house.
"Lady Eristheria! You shouldn't run like that around the mansion, especially the stairs!"
The head butler scolded me the moment they got closer.
I smiled cutely and nodded at his words.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Butler! Eristheria wanted to see Sister Ekris and isn't she cool?!"
I saw how Ekris' face reddened at my words, not because she is angry but rather, she was flustered at my words which everyone surely heard.
The head butler was taken aback at my comment but he sighed, ignoring my act, as he nodded and agreed with my words.
"She is, but Lady Eristheria..." Then his voice changed to a more serious one.
My eyes wavered to the side as a cutesy voice came out of my mouth, feeling Avril's irritated gaze on me for leaving her suddenly.
"You know that you haven't fully healed from your sickness."
I muttered, "It doesn't feel like that though…"
"My Lady."
I sighed when Avril was the one who spoke, knowing the underlying tone in her voice meant as I glanced at both Ekris and Lionel.
I guess I have to step back for now.
I turn my back on them as I started walking towards Avril. When I was already by her side,
I suddenly stopped and looked back at Ekris who is still glaring at me with such intensity but at the same time, still blushing.
How cute.
"See you again, Sister!"
I grinned at her and held Avril's hand, then I turned to the knights who are still shocked by my actions.
"Then, we will be going inside now! Bye-bye!"
Avril and I quickly left Ekris there, who became even more flustered than she already was, while Lionel was looking at me with an apologetic expression.
'Why is he the one feeling sorry for me when it was Ekris who pointed the sword at me?'
Hm, well, based from the novel, Lionel is a soft-hearted guy. He never liked Ekris' hatred for her little sister and would always take my, Eris, side.
I'm starting to see why Ekris doesn't like for another reason.
When we are at a safe distance, away from the training ground, I stopped for a moment as I turned to Avril grinning widely that I felt my cheeks hurting.
The first step of my plan is a success!
"Did you see that?!" I asked her excitedly, jumping up and down.
Avril seemed to snap out of it as she sighed exasperatedly.
"Yes, I did see it. You made Lady Ekrisilia flustered."
I coyly covered my mouth, like a villain who just bullied someone.
"Oh? She was? Hohoho!" I said very playfully as I laughed like an evil stepmother.
I am really, really, enjoying this.
"Yes, but are you going to tell the Count and Countess that she pointed a sword at you?"
I whipped my head to Avril so fast that I hear a slight crack as I defensively waved my hands.
"What? Of course not!"
'Heck no! I could use this as an advantage!'
Avril looks confused at my answer and decided to ask again, raising an eyebrow as she look at me curiously.
"If I may ask, why are you not going to tell the count and countess about this?"
I grinned, already forming a plan in my mind.
I already know what to do next and I know that if I can have the same effect to Ekris, it shouldn't be bad to try the same to Elishia, right?
'Straight suicidal!'
"I will handle this personally. After all, I plan to capture my sisters right?"
Avril looks at me like I have gone crazy, but that was soon replaced with concern and worry… With a mixture of interest and amusement.
"Are you sure, My Lady? No matter what tactic you use, they still hate you."
'Ouch! No need to rub it in!'
I shook my head at my thought as I turned to Avril, placing my hand on my chest while saying…
"Trust me, I can make them not hate me, at least not anymore. After all, I am Eristheria Holstead, the third daughter!"
Avril seemed to be either doubtful or just given up on me, but she sighed and just shakes her head.
I laughed at her reaction then I suddenly remembered the field of flowers that I saw from my balcony.
In one of the featured chapters that the author made for the extra's background, it is written there that Ekrisilia described that field of flowers as something she thought Eris would look at, and she thought Eris would be happy if she at least played on that field before her death.
It was a sad chapter, but Elishia's chapter was more devastating than Ekrisilia's.
I, residing in Eris's body, should give that thought into reality as I turned to Avril with a small smile on my face.
"Hey, Avril."
"Yes, My Lady?"
I smiled at her genuinely, letting my own emotion go through my playful act.
"Let's go on a picnic sometime."
She was surprised at this because I said it out of the blue and she was not prepared for it.
She was silent for a moment and I can see her eyes became warmer, just a little bit, before nodding.
"Yes. Let's go some time, My Lady."
