Capítulo 605: His Most Important Vow

Without needing to be asked, Henry joined Irene and rested his chin against the brass tub so his head was next to hers. He nuzzled into her cheek and kissed it. It was his way of willing her to feel better. 

They both quietly stared at her round stomach, just a couple of inches under the surface of the water. She was over halfway there. 

It was starting to become more real as the room closest to theirs was redone and prepared for a baby to join them. 

Henry pulled up the sleeve of his tunic and he put his arm in the water, submerging it to his elbow. His rested on the lower half of her stomach and he patiently waited to see if he would be blessed by movement. 

Irene put her hand over his and she sighed. 

"Are you in pain?" Henry asked.

She had gotten past the sickness but it seemed there wasn't time to relax because her hips and back started to ache soon afterward as her body slowly changed to accommodate the human growing inside of her.
