Capítulo 56: A Heroic Rescue

As soon as Zhang Liang spoke, Layle pounced on him, biting his leg. However, Layle was too small to cause any harm.

Zhang Liang winced in pain and kicked Layle in the stomach, sending it flying a considerable distance. Xia Xin even saw Layle cough up a mouthful of blood.

"Layle!" Xia Xin cried out in anguish at the sight of Layle's injury. Seizing the opportunity while Xia Xin was distracted, Zhang Liang moved in to restrain her.

Thankfully, Xia Xin's reflexes were swift. She bent over, evading Zhang Liang's grasp, and simultaneously grabbed his wrist, using her skill to lower his upper body.

Xia Xin raised her knee, knocking it against Zhang Liang's head. Blood instantly trickled from his nose.

Zhang Liang was thoroughly enraged. He said, "Very well, it seems you've learned something. But do you think this is enough to deal with me?"
