Capítulo 180: Inconsistencies

"What do you know about the barrier?" Savine asked.

"Nothing special, I'm afraid. Do you know about the Year of the Wisest and the things that happened then?"

"Yes," Savine sighed. 

It seemed that Oran didn't know much either.

It was common knowledge that the barrier was created a thousand or so years ago, after the black creatures appeared randomly. At first, they weren't so threatening, but their numbers were growing at an alarming pace.

And eventually, their number became high enough to pose a threat to the safety of a country.

But the weird part came after that. Out of seemingly nowhere, all the most powerful mages in the world decided to gather together on the northern front and build the barrier.

It wasn't like the world was peaceful back then. There was no country that wasn't in a war with someone and tensions were high even amongst allies.
