Capítulo 145: Son of Water Part 3
( This is a Dark Origin story, so please be warned about the harsh words.)

As I was talking earlier, Adrian examined that I had the potential to awaken my ancestor's inherited Gift in my own DNA. Adrian was so enthusiastic, telling me that after many years, the humans with Gifted abilities had somehow gotten their abilities inherited by their successors which is still a common topic in the medical world after all.
" The doctors told me that keeping our ancestors' Gift Abilities inherited to their next legacy, will make humans more progressed, as we will probably have many Gift Abilities in one generation. "
" One from the human's ancestry and one from the gods. "
" But sadly, this way of possibility is shut down in any way, by the Inquisitors and the gods. "
" Telling that things like that are for them to handle and no other people should tamper with it. "
" But those who keep this possibility in their mind, still trying to find a way, like the doctors who raised me. " Adrian said showing me some strange pills.
" What is that? " I saw it, seeing such ominous pills, I hope it's not something that could make me a goner at that time.
" It's a [Gift Pill]! " he says to me.
" Eat it! " Adrian wastes no time and just forces that thing inside of my mouth.
" Urkkh!!! " I swallowed it as it enters my throat using my inner mouth saliva to push it down as I gulped it.
" Dammit, what the... "
" Don't be a 'figo' (p**sy) and wait for it, Raiden! " Adrian interrupts me and shuts me down as I immediately felt something odd in my body.
" What the...!? " I suddenly felt pain, in both of my hands, as if it was sliced from within, like something sharp is coming out from the bone of my hands, something so sharp and spikey that burst from both my hands, I can also feel my own blood boiling also.
" What the...? " I looked at my chest, where my Sin Mark resides, it resonates, I can feel it's unknown some sort of energy spread fast, particularly into my hands.
And it happened.
" Graahhhh!!! " from both of my arms, comes out long sharp metal scythes come out, one scythe in each two I have at that time.
" I see, it worked. "
" The [Gift Pill] drug really worked on you, thank the doctors who made this for us. " Adrian says which made me more curious.
" Dammit Adrian, the doctors...! "
" If they're still alive, I flay their skin alive for making this torturous drug, it really burns me from within! like if lava entered my inner body! "
" Shut up! you haven't been into lava yet, don't exaggerate it! "
" Besides if it were literally like that if that's really the thing you experienced in that quick reaction then there's no doubt you'll die immediately. "
" Like the doctors, you wished to flay their skin alive. " Adrian says it to me, which makes me think as I remember those unknown corpses and skulls earlier that have doctor robes, and hazmat suits.
Remembering those, I realized something, something that I also see in their dead body where I can see they looked like being burned from within which immediately makes my mind spin as I connected it to what I consumed.
"( So those corpses...? )" I ask myself while Adrian decides to also take one pill.
Seeing it consuming it, I was immediately confused about how it happened afterward, for when Adrian consumed it, it didn't react.
" You know Rai, unlike you, the drug only makes my Sin Mark Energy under control... "
" But also... " Adrian shows his chest and unbuttons his clothes to make me see what's happening to his Sin Mark suddenly was gone.
" Huh!!!? " I was shocked as hell for I, of course, asked him where the hell it goes to.
" It's absorbed into my inner body, turning it into a Core. " Adrian answers.
" A [Sin Core]... " Adrian says telling me hence why his Sin Mark wasn't even detected by any means for normally a [Sin Mark] in a person could easily be detected if it was scanned using an infrared.
But somehow, it seems Adrian managed to get away with it, by making it hidden in his body and become a 'Core' or a 'Sin Core' if that's what he said earlier.
" How..., how is that possible? how did you do that, Adrian? " I'm so surprised to see it, so shocked for I could tell that since I have the 'Sin Mark' too, I can still feel Adrian's Sin Mark Energy existed but it seems it's more hiddenly right now.
" It is possible, because of the drug and me myself. "
" But... " Adrian buttons his shirt.
" It won't stay long, before it shows itself on my body again, making me detectable. "
" Because this very drug you swallow is just a copy from the real deal, the source where the real ingredient came from. "
" The [Arch-Deviant Fruit]! "
...
" The [Arch-Deviant Fruit]!!!? " Battle Maiden shouts as she immediately pins Raiden into the nearby large rock with her strength, imbued with a great amount of Divine Energy after hearing the word from Raiden's story.
" Maiden!!! " Kara shouts, so shocked as she yelled at the Battle Maiden.
" Silence, Inquisitor! "
" This man had stated a fact I cannot tolerate! "
" Did you just say that you eat a drug that was made from the [Arch-Deviant Fruit]!? "
" The Demonic Fruit of the Abyssal Realm! " Battle Maiden says as she chocks Raiden with her hand, filled with Divine Power, summoning the Libra.
" Raiden...! " Kara shouts while Raiden told her to shut off.
" Shut it, dear... " Raiden points at her and then puts his index finger in front of his mouth.
" Let me reason with this Who-will-be-eternally-unlaid-divine-lady... " Raiden said the word, making Battle Maiden pissed off even more.
" Reason!? you think you can reason with me for doing such a sinful thing a human could've done! "
" Obtaining something from the damn demons and letting it enter your body with your full consciousness! "
" I thought you were just a man who was simply lost, but this is getting too far! " Battle Maiden then activates Libra.
" Maiden! " Kara then unleashes her power as she can't take it anymore she immediately comes after the Battle Maiden with her Divine Power from Aphrodite.
Kara pushes her aside, telling her to back off which made the Battle Maiden thrown quite far away.
" Why are you defending him, Inquisitor!? "
" Did you hear his story? his actions are...! "
" Hold it, girls! " Aphrodite comes out from Kara's body, in her spiritual form, mediating the situation.
" Lord Aphrodite, why...!? " Battle Maiden asks.
" Silence, woman! " she says and looks again at Raiden.
" Let the man continue. " Aphrodite says as Raiden stands up again.
" Thanks, goddess. "
" Really saved my butt there. " he thanks her disrespectfully.
" Don't be flattered, whelp! "
" Just continue what you're going to say! " Aphrodite says to Raiden.
" Well, I was going to do it, but... "
" I need you to assure me that I won't be attacked during my storytelling, goddess! " Raiden says to the Olympian divine goddess while she responds silently and just looked at the battle maiden who responded by lowering herself to her.
As she was finally tamed, Aphrodite then permits Raiden to continue for he then tells the continuation from where they left off.
" Okay if there's no more distraction, allow me to continue. "
" And as you heard earlier, after swallowing the drug, I and Adrian began to do some research regarding it, especially me for being interested in how, just a fraction of that become that drug I swallowed, immediately gives me my inherited Gift Ability in my damn Ripper's blood. "
" After countless of times, searching we first met a dead end for at the time, we need to also focus on our 'Underground Society' jobs, until... "
" Adrian suddenly went into the Hunters' HQ after swallowing his pill and returned to me and says. "

" Raiden, we're going to be Hunters. " Adrian says to me as he gives me his Hunter's ID which shocks me at that time, he immediately gets a B-Rank at the time.
" When did you obtain that!? how...!? "
" Hey, hey, no questions...! "
" From now on, we will leave the Underground and continue our lives as Hunters. "
" Why? " I asked him in this sudden confusion, for he didn't inform me of taking Hunter's test as the Hunter Association was still in its early years.
" Of course, I go there, it's a great opportunity. "
" Because in there, there's a chance for us to found a way to find the [Arch-Deviant Fruit]. "
" And guess what? I just happened to get one! " Adrian just said it to me with full confidence and a smirk.
