Mi Yao and Er Lan sat together, and she sneakily glanced at Feng Yueming opposite her. He sat up straight, Vice Officer Li stood behind him, and the servants carefully laid out his napkin, trembling with nerves.
His presence was so commanding, unmovable like a god who reigned over all. It was no wonder the servants were so afraid, prompting Mi Yao to withdraw her gaze.
She regretted coming to dinner, where the most she could do was to keep utterly silent, reducing her presence to nothing.
