Capítulo 74: Chapter 74: The Fall of Red Skull

The transport fighter glided above the clouds, its metal body reflecting the warm golden sunlight as it flew towards the end of the Atlantic Ocean. Kyle and Steve, one brandishing a sword and the other carrying a shield, cautiously entered the pilot's cabin. Red Skull had obviously fled in a hurry, leaving only a few armed guards on the fighter. Kyle and Steve had easily overpowered them, and now the spacious pilot's cabin was silent.

On the control panel of the transport fighter, there was no one to be seen, and the system was set to fly on autopilot. Behind the pilot's seat, a storage device glowed with a mysterious blue light. Through the glass of the storage device, Kyle could see the outline of a cube-shaped object.

Kyle's blue eyes narrowed as he focused on the object in the storage device. Even from a distance of ten meters, and through the metal and glass of the storage frame, he could feel the heart-pounding and intoxicating aura of the Tesseract There was no doubt in his mind that this was indeed the object they had been seeking.

Steve also wanted to enter the cabin slowly, using his shield as cover, but Kyle shook his head. Red Skull must have been aware of their presence by now, so there was no need for a sneak attack. They had the advantage of being in the light while the enemy was in the dark, and they were also stronger than the injured Red Skull.

Kyle stepped forward, sword in hand, and said coldly, "Schmidt, you're the only one left. You call yourself Hydra, but you're hiding like a mouse. What other tricks do you have up your sleeve? Show yourself!"

Steve spread his arms and stepped forward, adding in a warning tone, "It's time to end your evil deeds, Schmidt!"

Red Skull's cold response came from the pilot's seat in the main cabin, "You two are truly relentless. Do you really think you can defeat me? Do you think that by wearing clothes with the American flag, you prove that you are national symbols? I have seen the future, and it is a beautiful world without borders, one that is purely under my rule!"

Upon confirming Red Skull's location, Kyle and Steve looked at each other and flanked him silently.

Red Skull, still seated in the pilot's chair, muttered to himself, "Until the very end, it's hard to say who will win or lose!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he slammed his palm down on the steering wheel and pushed it to the ground.

The transport fighter, which had been gliding smoothly, suddenly stopped and plunged headfirst into the clouds below, diving at a ninety-degree angle.

All the objects in the main cabin, including Kyle and Steve, were thrown about as the fighter shook violently.

"This is just the beginning..." Red Skull, strapped into his seat, snorted coldly. He raised a large laser weapon, but instead of aiming it at Kyle or Steve, who were tumbling behind him, he aimed it at the pilot's window in front of him.

"All of you can go to hell!" His scarlet skull face was twisted in madness, his sunken eye sockets flashing, as he fired the laser weapon at the window.

Bang!

The moment the window was destroyed by the laser, a strong hurricane was generated by the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the fighter, sucking everything in the main cabin towards the broken window and out into the sky.

This was an altitude of 10,000 meters above the ground! If it were an ordinary person, they would have fainted from the pressure difference.

"Kyle, be careful!" Steve, who had managed to grab hold of an iron frame in the main cabin, called out worriedly to Kyle, who was still floating in the air.

"That guy really doesn't want to live anymore!" Kyle gritted his teeth as he was pulled towards the window. In a quick move, he drove his sword into the floor of the cabin.

"Fortunately," Kyle breathed a sigh of relief, but his relief was short-lived. When he looked down, his pupils suddenly shrank.

Coincidentally, the sodium-carbon steel sword had been driven into the glass container that was glowing with a blue light. The glass cracked, revealing the mysterious aura of the Tesseract inside.

Oh my god, this... Kyle's scalp went numb as memories from the movies flooded his mind - Red Skull, forcibly exiled to the outer reaches of the universe, guarding the soul gem alone on a desolate planet for more than 70 years.

At that moment, the Tesseract was completely exposed to the air, less than half a meter away from him.

As if stimulated by the sword, the mysterious blue light on the surface of the Tesseract became brighter and brighter, and rays of light rushed out, revealing a bright universe star map in the void.

Space was twisting inch by inch, and the Tesseract was attracting Kyle, who was nearby.

"This is the end..." Kyle was in a dilemma, and could only watch as the Tesseract slowly opened a space tunnel. Was he going to be teleported away?

Kyle smiled bitterly and was about to close his eyes in resignation when Steve's voice suddenly rang in his ears. "Kyle! Get out of the way!"

The next moment, a round shield quickly flew across the distance of more than 10 meters and hit the Tesseract, knocking it away from Kyle and towards the opening in the window.

"That was close!" Kyle's face was pale as he realized how close he had come to being teleported away by the Tesseract.

"I love Earth!" Kyle was overjoyed at having escaped danger. He couldn't wait to give Steve a bear hug.

"No!" Red Skull shouted. He watched in shock as the Tesseract was thrown past him, towards the window. He frantically reached out to grab it.

Hum--the star map that was about to dim continued to shine, and a rainbow beam of light blasted Red Skull out of the sky, evaporating his body. The Tesseract completed its simple space manipulation and continued to throw the fighter into the sea.

The fighter continued its ninety-degree suicidal dive. When it was less than a kilometer from the ground, Kyle struggled against the strong wind pressure and made his way to the pilot's seat, putting the steering wheel back in place.

As soon as he did this, the transport fighter returned to normal, but the control panel seemed to be on the verge of being damaged and was emitting smoke.

"Phew," Kyle sat down on the floor, exhausted.

Although there was still strong wind pressure, the fighter was finally moving smoothly, and the suction force had been greatly reduced to an acceptable level.

"Are you okay?" Steve smiled and climbed down from the top of the cabin. He made his way to the pilot's seat and fastened his seatbelt.

Kyle waved his hand and said, "I'm fine. Hurry up and contact the base and have them arrange for this fighter to land."

"Okay." Steve nodded and sat in the pilot's seat, beginning to operate the control panel. After a while, his expression turned serious.

"What's wrong?" Kyle noticed the change in Steve's expression and couldn't help but stand up and ask.

Steve took a deep breath and said coldly, "The situation isn't good. The autopilot can't be deactivated and a lot of the human pilot's functions have been damaged. This fighter is still moving towards its original destination in New York."

"What!" Kyle realized the potential danger and said in a low voice, "Don't worry, let me think of a way!"

"There's no time." Steve shook his head and quietly clenched his fists, as if he had made a difficult decision in life. He smiled and said, "Kyle, quickly go to the back cabin and prepare a parachute."

"What do you mean?" Kyle was slightly stunned.

Steve said firmly, "I'm going to sink this plane into the sea. Quickly prepare a parachute and jump."

"There must be another solution. Besides, even if I have to stay on the plane in the end, I..." Kyle began, but was quickly interrupted by Steve.

"Let me do this." Steve grabbed the control panel with both hands, his young and handsome face full of determination. He smiled and said, "Kyle, you don't know. I've been chasing after you for a long time. It's time for me to take responsibility.

"From the training base to the later competitions and battlefields, I've always been in your shadow, constantly chasing after you and accepting the opportunities you've given me. But now, it's time for me to take responsibility. As Captain America, I'll surpass you this time and walk in front of you to pave the way."

At this point, Steve seemed to have returned to the young man who was physically weak but had an unyielding will.

"I know." Kyle walked silently to the back cabin of the fighter. He knew that no matter how much he said, he couldn't change his comrade's decision.

Steve was not only his best comrade, but also his brother. He was also the Captain America of this world, rushing to the forefront with a determined face, even in the face of thousands of dangerous situations, sacrificing himself to protect everything he wanted to protect.

"By the way, please take care of Carter." Steve didn't forget to remind him.

"Bastard, who's going to take care of your girlfriend! I'll wait for you at the base!" Kyle turned around and scolded.

"I... I do like Carter, but she's not my girlfriend," Steve shook his head and summoned the courage to say, "Carter, the person she likes has always been you."

"Don't make such a joke. How could she like me? You're not mistaken, are you?" Kyle was a little confused. What was going on? He had just unintentionally flirted with her a few times.

"Then just take it as a joke." Steve shrugged and said, "Next Friday night at eight o'clock, I have an appointment with her to go to the Bird Club. If I don't arrive by then, you go for me."

"Don't worry. I'll book the whole place for you and wait for you to come back and ask her to dance." Kyle waved his hand and left the main hall of the cabin. Steve's voice was still faintly heard behind him.

"Big brother, I'll leave everything to you..."

Fifteen seconds later, a figure jumped down from the back cabin of the fighter. After reaching a hundred meters in the air, he opened his parachute and slowly floated down towards the blue sea.

Kyle, who was under the parachute, looked up at the end of the sky. There was a plane flying away, disappearing into the clouds.

"Steve, no matter what the result is, no matter how long it takes..."
