Chapter 7: I’m in heaven
Nevaeh
Rushing from the hallways to my car, I feel a sense of urgent excitement. I try not to think that my excitement stems from the fact that Mikhail’s coming to my house after school. Today is Wednesday, the only day of the week when I have nothing to do. Most of the time, I’m attending student council, music, dance, or cheer. That’s one of the reasons that I don’t work. With my hectic schedule, it’s hard to work a part-time job.
As soon as I get home, I lay my bags down on the kitchen counter and head to the fridge. It’s empty. It looks like it’s going to be pizza again. I order an extra-large sausage with pepperoncini and pineapple. Mmmmm, I love pizza. I ordered it extra-large in case Mikhail is hungry.
